cc = cold cathode
the plastic tubing protects that thin stick inside the tube. The light comes from that and it is very fragile
I have 1 cold cathode from frozencpu and it lits up my case nicely. I used to have dual cold cathodes from pcytoys and they lit up my case very nicely but they burned out after acouple days. Frozencpu has very nice neon lights and I have one for 3 months now, still working perfectly.
If you open up the black casing of the power inverter you just unplug or plug in additional CCFL's, up to two.
