I just saw 27 Dresses

Went out on a date night with the wife after not having done so in a while. She picked the movie. Theater was full of homely women of all ages and couples who looked to be in my same predicament.

I've learned to accept the 'chick flick' as a hazard of any relationship and try not to be so picky when knowing that I'm going into just that but... its honestly got one scene that I laughed at and a few that made me smile. The rest of the movie is just a predictable, cookie cutter girl movie with very few redeeming qualities.

Try to avoid... but you may be forced into it.

One was Enchanted, the other was Shoot 'Em Up.

She picked Shoot 'Em Up.

Not sure I would care for this movie, but I secretly love Katherine Heigl. I know she just recently got married, so I guess I'm a bad person now.

The gf picked this terrible movie friday night. This is definitely the last time I go blindly into a movie she picks. It was complete torture. I did smile at a few parts but for the most part it was the typical awful chick flick.

My wife and I went to see this on Friday too. It was pretty much mediocre standard romantic comedy fare (i.e you can figure out the story in the first 5-10 minutes). The scenery of Heigl and Akerman made up for the inadequacies, though.

Stardust is a pretty cool movie. I enjoyed it. It's just a very simple feel-good fantasy story.

What the?! Shoot 'Em Up was friggin awesome!!! Just awesome action. How can you say a movie where Clive Owen walks away from playing chicken+superman against a van full of dudes with guns?! Best scene in a movie ever.
