I want to see 12 Monkeys again.

That movie sucked balls.

I like it better than Se7en, which is a great movie in itself. Of course most people won't agree with me.

I'm pretty sure its ranked above se7en in most things I've seen. I definitely think its a better movie.

Weird. I just saw Sixth Sense again. Forgot how awesome that movie was.
Then I saw 5th Element again.
Then I saw Born on the 4th of July.
Then I watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Then I watched Two Towers.
Then I watched One.
Then I watched Less Than Zero.

no one caught the pattern I think ,but now everyone will say they did.
you could've included 10, 9 1/2 weeks and 8 mm

While I agree that it's a great movie, the ending really let me down.

* SPOILERS TO FOLLOW! (Although, it's 12yrs old so I'm not really spoiling anything)

The killing of Mills' wife, Tracy, doesn't make any sense in the context of the movie. In killing her, he destroys the one redeeming character in the movie. Throughout the movie, she is presented as good and virtuous. That Doe would kill the one person that embodies the morality and lifestyle that he preaches man to follow is hypocritical and inconceivable from such a steadfast psycopath.

To me, it seems like the ending was added to give the movie that final shock and close with a bang, and is effective as such. Unfortunately, it comes at the expense of the underlying theme of the movie.

I seem to remember people saying it represented the final two sins. He is killed for his envy of her, and Mills becomes wrath.

Yep, that was the point. Hell, Spacey spells it out directly. No need to interpret that one

seriously. Ophir I have no idea what crevice of your anal cavity you are pulling that theory/interpretation out of, but I suppose you are free to interpret as you like.

looks like you like movies with a twist ending.....

Usual Suspects is excellent. Kevin Spacey's best role imo.

Movie with twist ending to watch with the GF: Wicker Park. Damn good movie, Josh Hartnett is good stuff (not to mention Diane Kruger = win).

Welcome to... ah whatever, it's one of those movies everyone should see no matter how long ago it came out.

I have recently been catching up on my movie watching.

Mabye I should turn this into a thread for suggesting "must-see" movies for me to watch.

Along that same line...

If you haven't seen, then do see...

Fight Club and The Game.

You leave out Born on the 4th of July, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Two Towers in favor of calling The 5th Element "awesome"? How so many people can tolerate that movie I'll never understand. No doubt Bruce Willis is bad-ass, but even he couldn't save that film from the nonsense of the scenes to the annoyance of Chris Tuckers screams.
