We've never really been hosed on a vehicle, actually. I don't buy new cars that depreciate much and used cars are purchased because they are good deals, though my truck is a lease. Seeing as I drive 3 miles roundtrip and needed something to haul stuff for the house it was the best choice.

As for the road salt I feel your pain. I've got a black car and the only way to keep it clean is to levitate it off the ground and cover it in saran wrap.

That's cool. I don't get back in that area often but I swear every time I come back to visit family there's another mall, movie theater, etc... that has sprouted up out of nowhere. My one aunt used to live out in the sticks but now it's all developed around her....i think michigan has too much flat land on their hands and they just don't know what to do with it
