I just washed my passport

so I left my passport in my jeans and it was washed and now that it's dried, it's real crisp and crappy looking. is it still valid?

I would take it into a passport office and ask them if it's still valid. If it isn't, ask them if you can get a replacement for free or discounted.

No, no matter what anyone says, I would get a new one.

My reason for saying this is my freind went to switzerland for spring break to ski, with the passport he had sent through the washing machine. The local passport agency said he would be fine, but he wasnt allowed into the country when he got to switzerland.

Just get a new one, just so you dont end up in my freind's position.

1. Grammaton didn't answer the OP's question until I asked him why he posted.
2. I did contribute by saying that there are passport offices.

I'm well aware of passport rules and regulations, but why should I help in a thread that could be answered by 10 seconds of googling? Futhermore, there's no one size fits all answer, because some countries won't give a fvck if the damn thing has burn markes whereas others will have a hissy if the lamination shows any wear. Why in God's name would you not just get a new one when it is extremely cheap and easy? Unless you are traveling soon, just make an appointment for a day trip at one of the regional offices and then you won't worry. I'd certainly feel better than if a Swiss border guard pitches a fit and hassles you.
