It wasn't BAD...but I was somewhat let down after all the hype.

Ledger's part? Nothing spectacular IMO. He did a good job, but not anything outstanding...certainly not anything worth killing himself over.

Like many others here, I liked Batman Begins much better...but even that one wasn't GREAT. I was hoping for a great movie. I actually liked Batman Begins, and was hoping this one would be a decent sequel. I'd give it no more than a 7-7.5 TOPS.



BUT, IMO, it was the best of the Batman movies so far...definitely better than Keaton and Nicholas, who I believe, were aiming for Batman "Adam West" style...

I can accept your post because of the last line. I don't think they were really going for the campy version of Batman, but compared to Batman Begins and The Dark Knight it certainly feels like it. Batman and Batman Returns are somewhere between the 60s Batman and the Chris Nolan's Batman. Batman Forever and Batman & Robin are in a league of their own. The Tim Burton movies just don't seem real like Nolan's movies do. The villains are cartoonish (including Nicholson; not that golfer you're talking about ), and even the outdoor scenes look like they're filmed on a sound stage.

I watched this again for the 3rd time last night, and each time I watch it, I like it more. I think the main problem with this film is that it's hard to pick up on a lot of things until you watch it through multiple times. The story is hard to grasp initially, and the first time I watched it, I didn't know why stuff was happening like it was. But now everything makes sense, story-wise, and I enjoy it much more because of it.
