It's more "in depth" than most movies and that's why some people don't like it. Some people just like watching mindless action/swearing and just don't have the brain capacity to understand a movie that has a well written script. All the lose ends were tied up, and it carried a strong message at the end that tied up the whole movie (Everything happens for a reason).

I thought it was ok. but daaamn, I was pretty freaked out when they showed that scene with the video of the alien. I jumped
Yea I almost wet my pants on that one also. I thought it was a well done movie that did a great job building suspense but not intended for the "the fast and the furious" crowd.
yea, that part made my spine chill the most. I thought it was very clever the way they built the suspense, and how everything came together at the end.
i guess most people just wanted the aliens to kill off each person one by one, and then the last man standing manages to find a secret weapon that kills all the aliens, then he gets the girl. Original
Aliens that are killed by water.. gimme a break.

Me and the wife really liked the movie. Admitted the end might have lost a bit, but atleast it was nice how everything lined up.
As everyone said, it wasn't about aliens in general. One nice thing is the Aliens didn't look like every damn alien in all other movies. He didn't have big eyes and small.
As for the water...if you think about it...it could be true. How many other planets have huge bodies of water?
Unbreakable is basically a real-life comic book... if you're into stories like that, you should see it.Originally posted by: LikeLinus
I never saw unbreakable. I've been told by many people it sucks.
But maybe the guy has a fear of water or something?
Or maybe it's just a coincidence........a sign.

i was skeptical as it was watching the movie after seeing the previews all summer long in the theater, thinking it was going to be a retarded movie. I eventually got into the movie and jumped a couple times (when it was quiet and the dog barked loudly), but after seeing the ending, i can't believe i wasted an hour and a half watching that. Big waste of time IMO.

If I lived on a farm in the middle of nowhere like Mel Gibson's character in the movie Signs, and found out aliens were landing on earth, I would probably drive to the big city and hide in a office tower or something. I certainly wouldn't attempt to hide on tiny farm in a location that aliens have already been aware of. That's just plain stupid.

In the event of a big crisis like alien invasion, war, natural disaster, etc., the last place you want to be is in a big city. Because you'll have to deal with the crisis, plus the hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of other freaked out, panicing people around you (and depending on what's going on you might also have to deal w/giant buildings falling around you).

I enjoyed the movie much more than I thought I would. I was expecting another stupid alien action flick but was pleasently surprised w/something that had a bit of depth to it.
