It was slow at times how they had to build a story, but the suspense throughout was great. The end was a letdown as I was expecting a bit more to happen... but it was good nonetheless. And BTW, there would be no people who think they're smarter than others if dumb people didn't exist. Got all that ?

All the lose ends were tied up, and it carried a strong message at the end that tied up the whole movie (Everything happens for a reason).

EXACTLY!

This show was awesome. It wasn't a show about aliens, or invasion. It was a story about Mel Gibson's character, and his internal struggle with life. The aliens just represented the epitomy of what he could not control.

Same goes with AI. Good show. Just a requires a little more in-depth thought than most people are capable of.

I thought it was ok. but daaamn, I was pretty freaked out when they showed that scene with the video of the alien. I jumped

Yea I almost wet my pants on that one also. I thought it was a well done movie that did a great job building suspense but not intended for the "the fast and the furious" crowd.

yea, that part made my spine chill the most. I thought it was very clever the way they built the suspense, and how everything came together at the end.

i guess most people just wanted the aliens to kill off each person one by one, and then the last man standing manages to find a secret weapon that kills all the aliens, then he gets the girl. Original

Most people want a good movie. The movie was crap, no matter how everything lined up.
Goofy aliens that are killed by water.. gimme a break.

Aliens that are killed by water.. gimme a break.

What is wrong with that?. Your looking way to shallow, its not exactly a movie all about aliens. You went in expecting something like Independence day.

Me and the wife really liked the movie. Admitted the end might have lost a bit, but atleast it was nice how everything lined up.

As everyone said, it wasn't about aliens in general. One nice thing is the Aliens didn't look like every damn alien in all other movies. He didn't have big eyes and small.

As for the water...if you think about it...it could be true. How many other planets have huge bodies of water?

Anyone else notice that M. Night Shyamalan likes to use waters as the weakness in his stories?
Remember Unbreakable??

I never saw unbreakable. I've been told by many people it sucks.

But maybe the guy has a fear of water or something?

Or maybe it's just a coincidence........a sign.

Unbreakable is basically a real-life comic book... if you're into stories like that, you should see it.

I think Unbreakable has a little less emotional impact than either The Sixth Sense or Signs, but I still liked it. I actually think I would have liked it dramatically more without the explanatory captions that open and close the movie.

LOL...I love all the people who proclaim it's a horrible movie without even seeing it. Signs was a great movie IMO..if you're looking for an alien shoot-em-up, go watch Independence Day

If I lived on a farm in the middle of nowhere like Mel Gibson's character in the movie Signs, and found out aliens were landing on earth, I would probably drive to the big city and hide in a office tower or something. I certainly wouldn't attempt to hide on tiny farm in a location that aliens have already been aware of. That's just plain stupid.

Big waste of time IMO.

Heh, weren't you the guy who actually liked the fast and the furriest?

I don't think it's all that strange that you didn't like Signs then...

It's a great movie...

I enjoyed the movie much more than I thought I would. I was expecting another stupid alien action flick but was pleasently surprised w/something that had a bit of depth to it.

In the event of a big crisis like alien invasion, war, natural disaster, etc., the last place you want to be is in a big city. Because you'll have to deal with the crisis, plus the hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of other freaked out, panicing people around you (and depending on what's going on you might also have to deal w/giant buildings falling around you).

I didn't like the movie cuz it was contaminated, the Sixth Sense had bacteria in it

I liked it, it was a thriller in the style of Hitchcock. You-all expect too much from a movie, not all of them will change your life...

Not to mention, Independence Day taught us that major cities are the first places the aliens go for, anyway.

I highly doubt anyone would stay at a location where aliens are already known to have been, or still reside at. This was the case with Mel Gibson's character's farm. Makes no sense that they would stay there in that tiny house when he saw the aliens roaming in the crops less than 30 yards away. And statistically, you have a better chance living being in large numbers. It's just a matter where you decide to mount your defence, or simply hide.

the movie would have been a million times better if you never actually saw the aliens... that way... the whole movie you're expecting to see them... but you never do... suspenseful
