NO! This is not a human trait, its a common sense! Have you ever seen an animal eat food for example? They don't just eat it, they smell it first. See if good to eat. You need to have precaution in order to survive. If these aliens survived long enough to be more technologically advanced than us, then they are familiar with precaution
Uhh yeah. but growing up on a farm I've seen many animals eat their own puke, sh!t and even each other. So i'm not sure what you were getting at.
What I am getting at is that
the plot of the movie was one of the worst I have ever seen. Anybody who tries to argue with that is a dumbass. 'Nuff said.
The "plot" was CONSISTENT with what the director was trying to accomplish. If you want "real" try
Animal Planet.
If making an unrealistic, illogical, feel-good piece of sh!t was what the director was trying to accomplish, then I guess the plot was consistent with that.
What films do you actually like? I honestly can't imagine what about Signs could have inspired such a violent reaction.
the plot, that's what causes the reaction. It is simply horrible.
Here are a few movies, off the top of my head, that I really like:
Lord of the Rings (both, but I liked the second one better)
Minority Report
The Godfather 1&2 (first one was better though)
Memento
Insomnia
Requiem for a Dream
12 angry men (1957)
Fight Club
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Snatch
