Pretty Woman was the worst I actually saw at a cinema. Ashamed I even sat through it, but someone else dragged me in there.
I had a whole alternative storyline worked out by about half way through, whereby Julia Roberts' character would turn out to be the daughter of a factory worker who had lost his job after Gere's corporate-raider asset-stripped the business, and then killed himself, leaving the family in poverty. And the whole thing of being Gere's fake girlfriend was a ruse for her to get close enough to him to stab him to death. I was disappointed - the actual movie turned out to be unmitigated boring (and moderately offensive) garbage from start-to-finish. But they should do a remake with that twist.
You can't count movies that weren't made for you. That's a chick flick.
