Leviathan is by no means the worst movie ever.

That belongs to a little movie named "Below".

Below was corny as hell, but I thought it was a fun movie. Much better than stinkers like "The Core" or All the Star Wars after "Return of the Jedi."

The only movie I have ever watched in a theater that was jeered and booed by all in the theater? We lost half the theater before the film was over. A Sly Stalone film. A 1991 bomb known as "Oscar."

I watched that on VHS back in the 20th century.
20 something me enjoyed it at the time.

At the time, Korn's "Life is Peachy" album was my favorite album.

That information is probably relevant

Most of the previous movies have some sort of campy appeal or were extremely low budget.

Speed 2: Cruise Control has no excuses. 110 million dollar budget in the 90's.

I'd watch Willem Dafoe reorganize a sock drawer thank you very much.

As maniac on an out of control cruise ship who treats himself with leeches? Shut up and take my money.

Hardware is the worst, followed by He-Man!

One guy left the show 3/4 in saying "It's a Classic! It's a classic, Man!". Everybody laughed There was a lot of attrition that day for Hardware. I toughed it out though!

Who started first? Maybe they were clapping your booing?

They clapped, then I booed. There were several problems with the movie:

1. It started out awesome, like a horror movie. Little girl scribbling crazy numbers on her time-capsule letter & then she disappeared, only to be found in the basement scrawling those letters into a door with her fingers. Yikes!
2. Then it shifted to kind of like an alien movie.
3. Then kind of like, angel aliens. So not even scary aliens. The opening of the movie set it up a bit like a horror movie, and you could have done scary aliens, or even a suspenseful aliens show like Signs, but...nope!
4. Then the earth gets nuked & the aliens save like ten kids & drop them off unsupervised on another planet.

It felt like it got rewritten two or three times before they pushed it out the door. Similar to Suicide Squad or maybe the Solo Story. Which is a pity, because it was a pretty cool concept, where the numbers represented every bad thing that was going to happen. That scene with the plane crash & the screams was legit horrifying. Oh yeah, so the aliens can predict the future too. But sit around for 50 years. Then only save a few kids. Like...I don't mind weird endings or vague messages, if they're well-done. For example, the movie Contact was great. But Knowing? Oh man. If you like Knowing, then go see Dark Water too, lol.

Came in expecting Children of Men.

Eh, I wouldn't call that movie bad - just only worth a single watch. Interesting problem, not quite what I was expecting for delivery, but worth a watch if you're looking for something to kill some time.

Recently watched a gem called The Cutter. Chuck Norris’ last main starring movie. He did do Expendables 2 after it.

First movie where I finally understood what bad writing was.

I watched that on netflix streaming a year or two ago. It actually seemed like a OK movie to me, the cat people looked fake but they weren't in it much. I have some weird love of Matthew Lillard though that I can't explain.

Pretty Woman was the worst I actually saw at a cinema. Ashamed I even sat through it, but someone else dragged me in there.

I had a whole alternative storyline worked out by about half way through, whereby Julia Roberts' character would turn out to be the daughter of a factory worker who had lost his job after Gere's corporate-raider asset-stripped the business, and then killed himself, leaving the family in poverty. And the whole thing of being Gere's fake girlfriend was a ruse for her to get close enough to him to stab him to death. I was disappointed - the actual movie turned out to be unmitigated boring (and moderately offensive) garbage from start-to-finish. But they should do a remake with that twist.

I don't remember disliking it. It can't have been hugely memorable because I barely remember it, but I don't think it was bad at all.
