Between that video and the Billy Idol - Cradle Of Love video I think we've covered the entire history of rock videos.

I, like you, have largely listened to hip-hop for most of my formative years and just recently (within two years) started to care about rock and roll. Thought I might chime in with some suggestions. I know I still have a lot to explore, but 50 years is a lot of music to digest . Its definitely an eclectic mix of classics and more recent stuff but it sounds like we have similar tastes in other genres.
Beatles
Disturbed
The Doors
Jimi Hendreix
Lynyrd Skynyrd
NIRVANA
The Offspring
Pearl Jam
Pink Floyd
Staind
Velvet Revolver
Not rock and roll, but worth a listen if you haven't heard before -- The Roots. The mix of the live band with the rapping is worth a listen for sure.

Metal is the most musically creative genre of Rock and Roll. I suggest you listen to some good metal bands.
