Ximeta turned me off to low budget NAS because of the driver install and one user at a time, but i since found another brand and would like to solicit some input.....search turned up empty both here and Toms so i thought i'd post and ask! LINKY
can anyone comment???????
bump, come on guys....NO ONE has heard of this?????
it says it can have user and group rights assigned so i would assume there is no driver to install that would have to be uninstalled as with the ximeta. anyone care to comment????
Just bought this. Seems fairly decent but there are two SERIOUS issues with it that I've found.
1. It works only with IE browsers. If you use Mozilla you get a "403 Forbidden - Current version only supports "Internet Explore 5.0" or above".
2. If you apply the MS04-004/Q832894 IE6SP1 patch, it breaks the login and you'll get a DNS error page.
So if you want this to work, you'll need use an IE based browser and not install Q832894.
I just bought a tritton nas 120 (frys - 229 less 100 rebate). I set it up, but am unable to see as network drive. I can ping it and link lights are working. Manual is terrible.
