I like being sick sometimes.

Called in sick today I've got a mild fever, 38.5C 101.3F. I shiver out of bead a bit. My muscles all ache and I have a headache and sore through. This feels really cozy. so long as I don't get much worse.

Fail update. I made it worse by going out to a movie last night I thought I was much better but apparently not. My fever had broken and everything seemed a little better but after the movie the fever came back and I felt worse. I think I still have a very very mild temperature even now, though it's getting a LITTLE better.

Update 2 if I feel as bad tomorrow as I do today I'll probably go to the doctor. Maybe I have an infection of some sort. Parents keep worrying that I have diabetes.wtf none of these symptoms match and I know I need to loose weight but it would be nice to have some support from the family when ill.

Update:Fuck I take that back. It's over a week later and I still feel like crap. Well OK the fever and the worst of it is long gone but I still feel like crap. Sinuses blocked, runny nose, a little nausea, head feels like a block of wood, chest congested, no energy. I need to call the Whaaambulance.

One thing though is that I doubt ill get sick pay. They like to give 'banked hours' instead.

A 101 fever for an adult is more than mild, isn't it? I don't think I've had a legitimate fever since I was like 10.

I'll have to agree with you here. Its a perfect excuse to just lie around and do nothing. Of course when you feel like complete crap then it isn't fun anymore. But if its fairly mild its all good.

a mild fever does have a very calming effect on me. I admit that it is pleasant in some ways. though that doesn't mean I like to be sick.

I came really close to going in. But decided not to because I'm also very weak.

OP is in a service job, which means he would be a major vector. He should stay out as long as he's really contagious.

Yeah I took 2 days off. Have the next 2 days off as part of my reg schedule anyway so I should be better when I go back on Wednesday. I'm going to ask to see if I can apply for sick pay for these 2 days. Like I said they like to give you "banked hours" instead but I don't think that's even 100% legal is it?

i started with a sore throat saturday morning (i'm sure drinking from 6-2 didn't help, nor did freezing my ass off in bed), now i've added a cough, a stuffy ear, and i'm starting to feel out of it. awesome.

The lady got the flu on Monday night. I have Tuesday-Wednesday off every week and got it Tuesday night and took the next 3 days off from work. Went to work today and still don't feel quite normal. Silly flu...haven't had it for 10 years. Feel better!

Ugh I knew I was getting sick yesterday. I did not feel bad, but I had that achy feeling in my legs, which is how it always starts for me. By the time I woke up this morning, my temp was 102. Stayed in bed all day today and watched the football games. Hopefully I'll feel better by tomorrow. There is a project at work that I am looking forward to working on.

You can be cozy without being sick. Feeling sick is just an excuse for it.

Actually feeling sick itself and lend one a feeling of being high. I don't know if the body releases endorphins or something but I guarantee you that I feel sort of high when I'm sick some of the time.

Get checked for diabetes anyway, though it sounds like you have the flu. Diabetes has zillions of symptoms, everybody's different. On the off chance you have diabetes, you want to know about it so that you can take care of it - diabetes can be really bad later, people die from it.
