Of course legal immigration is ideal from a security standpoint Which is why I'd support major adjustments to US immigration policy making it possible for Central Americans to immigrate legally to the US more easily and in larger numbers. Decades of US policy have created what is essentially a refugee crisis, particularly in El Salvador and Honduras, so we should bear some responsibility for that.
Preach on, brother. I have no issue with LEGAL immigration but we can't go on with business as usual and reward another HUGE amnesty, again.
Why bother to have immigration rules and laws if we don't enforce them equally to everyone? Why million and million around the world are waiting in vain for years and years to immigrate the LEGAL way while others think they should not be bother to do so? That's my point.

In the absence of Congressional action to legalize the immigrant flow from Central America (not to mention address the underlying issue causing it: the drug war) I think harsh enforcement actions are unconscionable, hypocritical, and deeply immoral.

Well, I never said it and not going to say let depart million and million of ILLEGALS tomorrow regardless of the cost. What I am saying is let do things different slowly. I already posted several links about how other nations are dealing with ILLEGALS.
This complex problem did not pop out of the blue overnight and it will take a long while to solve it and separating children is not a good idea to start with.
