Media is still reporting on it, but it isn't dominating the news cycle with all the other feces spewing forth from this administration.

Maddow had a segment the other week about the HHS guy who was refusing to allow any migrant girls access to abortions while detained, even if they were raped along the way to the border. Apparently this Scott Lloyd is anti-abortion activist formerly with Catholic Knights of Columbus, and somehow tasked to be in charge of Office of Refugee Resettlement. He built an Excel spreadsheet tracking every menstrual cycle and pregnancy of detainees in order to ensure that no abortion requests were granted. Even after a court order was issued to stop interfering with lawful access, he was still maintaining the database.

I think some people look at A Handmaid's Tale not as a potentially horrible and dystopian future, but as the way things should be in this country.

Yes and its fucking insane. I don't give a shit if you are anti-abortion, you should be able to look at that and go "that's fucked up" and it make you seriously question what you're actually wanting (just like you can be a gun enthusiast but not an insane NRA gun fetishist; you can oppose abortion without demanding absolute subservience from women). That so many of the anti-abortion people are allegedly against government being in their business, well you're outright evil if you're ok with shit like that. There is simply no way you can defend behavior like that without just admitting that you're a fascist that wants to control other people. Frankly, that behavior I think was probably even too weird for the Nazis to do (but I could be wrong, they didn't seem to care and would've probably preferred a woman doing that versus them having to kill the baby after its born).

"If we don't enforce this, it is the end of our country as we know it," Miller said, according to the two officials. It was not unusual for Miller to make claims like that, but this time he was adamant that the policy move forward, regardless of arguments about resources and logistics.

No one in the meeting made the case that separating families would be inhumane or immoral, the officials said. Any moral argument about immigration "fell on deaf ears" inside the White House, one of the officials said.
