yeah its rather sad. I played WoW. I got it over xmas break and played A LOT over that period of time since there is nothing else to do. But once i got back to school i pretty much stopped playingn all together...and now i have a cancelled account. UNLIKE my friends who play all day. My one friend will play all day on the weekdays after classes and have no need to go outside. The only plus or saving factor is that he doesnt play at all on the weekends to hang out with this girlfriend.

Haha my bf has a 60 mage and a 50 rouge (i think). Him and his friends have gone insane over WoW. They were hanging out after the semester was over, and they pretty much spent one hour together talking about WoW, then went back to their own houses to play WoW. They USED to order out for pizza, watch movies and play xbox and ps2, and do other stuff. Now, it's WoW and then more WoW. The thing I give him credit for is getting me addicted to it too. Not enough to be playing it day and night (how could I? he's always on the account haha), but enough to understand the game and why he likes it. That saved his ass from girlfriend wrath

WoW is addictive. My cousin just got me hooked on that game just a couple months ago. I'm a Level 11 Tauren Hunter on Burning Legions server. Pretty fun, you get to go on quests with friends, and hunt stuff. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

the time it takes to reach lvl 60 and do a lot of things the game offers takes about only 1 month

I've never had any problems with the community. it's no different than any other MMORPG.

playing with people I know IRL really adds a whole new dimension to my game enjoyment, though. WoW is totally repaired my formally non-existant relationship with my older sister, since we're both playing 24/7 and we group whenever possible it's also really fun to play with my roommate.

WoW should be illegal. Although it's really cool to group w/ your guildy and do quest. And of course, you can go up to just about anybody and say hi. People would think you're psycho if you do that IRL.

Don't worry. They'll be done in 2-3 months due to the game not even being finished. My guild has killed Ragnaros about 8 times now and most of us only login to kill Onyxia or clear Molten Core. Game is boring as sh1t when you got no new content to progress to. Blackwing Lair isn't even in the upcoming patch... they are promoting pvp bullsh1t which will be fun for all of... 2 weeks I predict (not to mention the pvp rewards aren't even worth it for end game progressed guilds).

Dark age ran for 3 years on its pvp system, and this is far improved over that steaming pile of mmorpg. It sounds like you want to play everquest.

It's so easy to hit 60 in WoW. If you want a mmorpg with the toughest grind ever try Lineage2....
WoW on the otherhand lets you lvl on < 2 hrs a day.

Heh. I started playing in December, and I'll admit, I put in a ton of hours the first couple of months.

But since I've reached lvl 60, I've been logging in enough to keep increasing my PVP rank (level 8 now) and only play about 4-8 hours/week.
