Actually you're the one without a clue. Are you saying that all, or at least most, illegal immigrants are cut checks and pay taxes? How did you come to that conclusion? Where's your support? If you're basing this off of personal experience, then that's clueless as well. Actually I believe it's called a stereotype when you take personal dealings with a few members of a group of people and apply them to the entire group. Slave owners were following laws also, this doesent make the issue itself less valid.

They were in effect just following the status quo, same thing here.

I am sure if you watch TV they have plenty of justifications for how it isnt racist, but look around you and there are millions marching and speaking out and the main thing you see is SAY NO TO RACIST LAW. You think people don;t see right through these lame attempts to justify it and not see the racism, you are fooling yourselves.

You are out of touch as the media is once again. But then the media is corporate and they have their own reasons for feeding into americas racism.

How can they pay taxes without a Social Security number? Oh wait, they forged it you say? So now you're telling me it's justified by forgery? That's pretty funny. I'm curious what you'll come up with next.

It's only a matter of time before the system advances to weed out these criminals and businesses that resort to employing these types of people.

So let's recap: Are they paying taxes? NO. They have illegally snuck into our country, forged a social security card, and pretend to pay taxes to avoid the law. No, they aren't paying taxes.

A law is not a fact, it is a imposed rule based on societys acceptance and change with the times. Sorry, like I said a law is a opinion subject to change, not a FACT in any way.

Saying racism is ok becasue it is a law is a farce and does not change what the base of the issue is, which is xenophobia and racism.

If you say it's a white, anglo-saxon, protestant, then I would say that you're the one with the limited viewpoint and the one who's caught up on the idea of race. Answer this question as well: what is a Chinese, French, Japenese, German, etc.? All of these countries have specific races that make up the bulk of the population. The fact that America is so diverse and so allowing of immigrants shows that it accepts the diverse culture. You have a problem with the fact that we're not opening our borders wide to any and all who want to come in, and then you're throwing words like racism out there when that's not at all what's occurring.

BTW, I despise racism, supremacy, and all that, so don't EVEN label me that way or else I'll throw it right back in your face. I'm as racist as you are. If you think I'm racist, then I'm calling you racist as well. You don't know me, you don't know anything about me, and you can't say what I am and I am not. Also, I just saw your comment about getting a card for day construction work. You're wrong. My neighbor was a day construction worker, dealt solely in cash, did not have a card, and did not pay taxes (except the measly sales tax). His wife told my wife the whole situation and why they had to move and all that. So it is just as I thought, you're basing all this on your dealings with illegal immigrants. So just keep on making your comments that sound like this: everyone on this post is racist except me. I'll check back to see if you post any REAL evidence, but if you don't post any, then it's a waste of our time to post here. You've obviously made up your mind without concrete evidence; therefore, nothing anyone posts here will be viewed objectively. I'm done.

Your analogy to slavery is simply absurd, and again is another attempt at sensationalism to stir up emotions. Slavery was imposed primarily on a specific race- the African Americans. Where does the immigration law say anything about not allowed a specific race, like Mexico? And even if that were the case how could you possibly relate not allowing a specific race into our country as enslaving them? Simply ridiculous!

So I'm racist because I support the new Bill that will make all illegals a FELON? You have a lot to learn about the world. I am a minority, my mother came here legally. I am far from rich, and I'll be damned if my taxes are increased because of illegals. I will vote every chance I get to deport them the hell out of this country after they are arrested as a FELON.

The only face I'm pissing in is yours. The reason Mexicans are being targeted is because they can much more easily skip the border than immigrants that have to cross an ocean to get here. DON'T YOU GET THAT!!! (I know you don't and won't because you're closeminded to anyone's view but your own). I think we should ask a Mod to rename this thread: EVERYONE IN AMERICA EXCEPT STEEPLEROT AND ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE RACIST AND HATE MEXICANS THE MOST!!! That's been the recurrent theme of this thread.

If we bordered more countries and we were having as much of a problem with illegal immigrants from other countries, then they would be targeted as well. I have Mexican, Asian, and African-American friends (and some family too) that have all gone through the process to become LEGAL immigrants (either they did or their ancestors did). If someone doesn't want to go through the process of becoming a LEGAL immigrant, then I don't care what country they're from or what race they are. If I moved to a different country, had children who would be citizens of that country and not the U.S., and they tried to illegally immigrate into the U.S., then I would think they should be kicked out too. But I'm sure in some way that Steeplerot is going to say that I'm racist, which is further support for a Mod to rename this thread.

If you are illegal, and enter the United States, you should be deported. It doesn't matter if you are caucasian, asian, black, green, purple or yellow. We do not want you here. Illegal is illegal, without the skin color or race involved..

If the legal means of immigrating to the U.S. are followed through, then there is no issues.. this covers everyone.... including MEXICANS and Europeans

Calling someone illegal is not used often in mainstream press simply becasue it is intellectually and historiclly ignorant.

Are you claiming that all Mexican immigrants in the US are illegal?
