True, but you have to understand the dynamics that allowed these immigration waves to integrate across American society...yes it was a slow process, but legalized citizenship was the catalyst that enabled the process to achieve fruition.

The same system could serve Hispanic communities achieve a similar desireable endstate.

I think it would also, I am sure if they could move and work freely and make a real wage they would not stick around in poverty, Puerto Ricans had a tough time here for awhile, but they are doing pretty good compared to 20 years ago.

These things take time like anything, point I am making is we can't call in the gestapo and round them up evict them from their homes and jobs and deport them, and keeping them a subclass is bad for america we all know, might as well bite the bullet and figure out how we can fix immigration laws to be more realistic for the future influx of central and south americans and get these people legit and working.

Speaking of past immigrants Irish played HELL on this country coming here with riots, lawlessness etc. Mexicans have been on a whole very hard working -non complaining of their unfair lot and just worked and stayed low key. If they are to be judged on a whole I think they have proven to be exellent citizens.

The stuff about getting sick and going to our hospitals, well it happens you can't help that its kinda sad people are angry becasue people got sick and needed help, I don;t care if you are a felon or not, (ok maybe not a molester or blood soaked murderer) if you were sick and needed help I would always open my door to help.

No, I am an american like millions of others who will not stand for racism to our poorest people.
