But I hate how slowly the process goes. I'm at about 239 right now, I was about 260 last January.

Share your weight loss miracles.

My goal is 195 lbs; I've started running/walking and doing pushups/crunches/curls daily for the last six weeks.

230---->180 in 5 months last year. Maintained since. Could probably stand to lose 10 more.

Ironically, I used to weigh about 160lbs, 5'9". Then I started running at least 4 days a week and going to Kung Fu class 3 days a week. And low and behold, when the USAF had their physical evals, I weighed in at 180lbs, 5'8", although I think they erred on their height measurement.

I think its the muscle mass I've gained.

I could tone up a bit now, but still pretty slim at around 6' 2", 180ish. No stories to share of my own, never had much of a weight problem. But congrats on your weight loss...... what is your goal btw?

260 -> 210 in 3 months (23% BF to 12% BF).

Cardio 3 days a week, lift 4 days a week. No food with any fat for 3 months. Helped me.

Dude, how can you stand limiting your carbs for 5 months? crazy. I tried and quit after the 1st day.

Dude, how can you stand limiting your carbs for 5 months? crazy. I tried and quit after the 1st day.

aahhhggg......the misunderstanding of atkins. It wasn't hard to limit carbs to less than 20grams for the first two eeks and sslowly add back. I eat about 60-80 grams a day now. No more meat than I ate when I was chubby or even when I was super skinny.

heh, still crazy...

i could never do it... i just sticked to the good ol' chicken breast + salad for dinner & pasta & rice + salad for lunch & sandwich with turkey, lettuce and tomatos + grapefruit juice for breakfast diet and lost 50 pounds in 3 months. I exercised and lifted like crazy though and bulked tons of protein shakes.

280->180 in 10-12 months, not sure exactly how long, it was a giant blur . now for some reason i cant break 180 for the life of me, which is good, because im by no means on a diet.

edit: oh ya, now im trying to tone up/get buff. but have been lazy about it.

This could be good or bad depending on how the breast was cooked, how much cheese was on the broccoli and what kind of dressing was on the salad.

I weighed 198 during my first week of senior year high school. I ran a mile a day, slowly crawling up to maybe 3 miles, losing weight that brought me down to 138 lbs by January.

So I went to the gym, bulked up, now I weigh a healthy 145 lbs and run 4 miles each and every day due to habit.

If you cut the bad fat and carbs. it does not take much effort to loose a pound a week.

I went from 230 to 185 in the course 6 months. I literally cut what I used to eat in half and changed to Diet soda. I used to drink 4 or 5 cans or 20zs of regular soda a day. Thats a lot of calories.
