Trans fat is what gives them the great taste :^D Seriously. That's what I like about them. They should probably switch to lard, but then you'd need preservatives I think. I don't eat chips that often; maybe once a month. You gotta die of something.
Beware those martins and trans fat if they have it. Some variety of those I bought once had 3g trans fat per serving.

I love pretty much all chips; potato, tortilla, corn, paint. Kettle cooked chips are probably my favourite though. New York Cheddar & Herb Kettle brand are amazing and the jalapeno Miss Vickies are up there too.

Where the fuck were you people in the 90s, when NY Deli Kettle Cooked chips were around - AND pretty much the only kettle cooked brand.

When my local vending machine stop dispensing Miss Vickies several years ago, I called the number on the back and ask where I can go to buy them? I was told that they've been bought out by Lay's and the exact same Miss Vickies chips are now labeled as Lay's Kettle cooked. You should add the Target's Archer Farm brand with the ziplock seal. Those are good too.
either plain or S&V. all other types of fakeass flavored chips are pointless.
but man, they are delicious. I like Kettle cooked, but they aren't my favorite. Classic Lays style are still my favorite. I am quite partial to that texture.
Most Kettle cooked shred the roof of my mouth. I don't got time for that.

They are not the same up here; not yet anyway. The Lay's kettle cooked come in Jalapeno Cheddar and are smaller and feel a bit thicker. The Miss Vickie's are just Jalapeno (no cheddar) and has a very different taste and texture. I've bought both recently. The Lay's ones are good, but they are different.
I'll have to check and see if they have those Target ones up here. Always up to try new chips brands/flavours. Thanks.

we used to have a chip company called Krunchers that made awesome kettle cooked Jalapeno chips. As well as regular and BBQ.The Lay's kettle cooked Jalapeno Cheddar is a new flavor they recently made I think and there should be plenty of regular Lay's Kettle Cooked Jalapeno flavor. The only Jalapeno flavor chip that I've had that imo is superior to the Lays/Miss Vickies is the "Kettle" brand itself. It has much more heat and is a bit crispier and thicker.
