Damn, my mom used to make those for me too.

Braunschwager
Veleeta
Sweet Pickles
Miracle Whip
French Bread

Gotta got get me some Braunschwager and see if I still like it.

And as for Miracle whip, Turkey sandwiches just suck without it. Real Mayo has it's place, but not on my Turkey, damnit! I save that for BLT.

Will have to try that, but on a kaiser roll. Personally, I've always been a sucker for fried Spam, cheddar cheese, and Miracle Whip on toast with bread n butter pickles.

BLASPHEMY!!!!

and I quote: "a sandwich just isn't a sandwich without the tangy zip of Miracle Whip." What, you think they made that up????

bah, mayo doesn't need a dumb saying to taste awesome!

No but you have to do the right prep work:

Buy mayo.

Empty all mayo out into garbage.

Wash out jar.

Fill jar with Miracle Whip.

Sorry, but miracle whip is in the same category of foods as Kim Chee - Disgusting and inedible.

Yes, pottedmeat is indeed nasty.

...on that note, stay away from foods manufactured by the Dial Corporation.

I never could stand plochman's. It has an odd aftertaste that I couldn't acquire a taste for. I like most other yellow mustards though, from french's to even sam's choice.

Definition: Not a cheese at all, but a sausage made from the meaty bits of the head of a calf or pig (sometimes a sheep or cow) that are seasoned, combined with a gelatinous meat broth and cooked in a mold. When cool, the sausage is unmolded and thinly sliced. It's usually eaten at room temperature. Head cheese can be purchased in delicatessens and many supermarkets. In England this sausage is referred to as brawn, and in France it's called fromage de tête--"cheese of head."

Yep we have some gross food in the UK but even we wont eat 'miracle whip'

(i think they tried and it was withdrawn)

So there you go:
boiled compressed pigs head served cold ------- yes
Miracle whip---------------------------------------------shit no

Throw a slice of American cheese + Miricle Whip on white bread, and I'll tear it up The problem is I have to buy this stuff in small quantities because nobody else in the house will touch the stuff.

I just now got my kids into vienna sausages...next I'll move them up to something like potted meat, then I'll try the loafs on them again. I guess it's something you have to work your way up to.

head cheese too?

edit: dammit, old thread bump again.

And let's not forget... head cheese is the stuff that wasn't good enough for hot dogs.

Correct; they save the anus for that.

How would you describe "small quantities"?

You're proud of this, and actually excited about feeding your children "mystery meat"?

Hell ya! Kids today are growing up on wussy turkey and chicken breasts. Bunch of pansies. I'm taking it into my own hands to man them up---it's for their own good.

Get the one made from a pigs head, but don't tell them what it is. Just make them eat it.

If you get one of the good slices you can actually make out the pigs nose.

Damn. That sure is quote-worthy.
