If true, I still don't know how you managed to land a 100k job with your attitude. But that aside, getting credit is ridiculously easy. All the times I've needed it, I just had to ask, and got it. "Can I get another couple extra grand of credit limit?" "Sure...... done. You now have 7k limit on your credit card, thank you for choosing [card company]".

I don't tend to keep credit on my credit card though, it's just nice to have a decent limit and knowing it's there. Same with credit line. Mine is only 10k right now but I can almost guarantee if I call my bank they'll bump it to 20k. I did call recently to see if they could lower the interest and they did. Sometimes you simply have to ask.
