He did a great job running the country and all you remember him for is an affair he had?
Many presidents have had an affair, he just had the bad luck of being caught.

I met Hillary once when I was in DC as part of a presidential classroom thing. My friend and I rounded the corner and there she was with her entourage. My friend asked for a quick picture and gushed all over her, and Hillary was very rude and obnoxious about the whole thing.
I was not impressed, and that has nothing to do with any (D) next to her name.

He had a book signing, for his book My Life, today at my local Borders. They allowed 500 people and I was one of them (one of the last). It was about in hour and a half in line, but it was so worth it. It was a very humbling experience to meet him. Got to shake his hand and we minced a few words as he signed my book. Very cool!

Nah, I dislike how he started bombing in the middle east when he just happened to be considered for impeachment. I don't like the fact that he was dumb enough to put himself in a situation that would illicit impeachment to begin with. I don't like how he almost emptied Social Security to pay a lot of the national debt. I don't like how he was disolving the military. I hate the fact that he turned the whitehouse into such a huge spectacle of the personal life that he could not control.

I've heard on NPR last week that he is now big friends with Bush Sr. Just another example of how full of sh1t politicians are.
You mean where he used portions of the surplus to buy down the debt? You do know that money would have been spent elsewhere right? You also know he proposed the "lock-box" right? You know how long the intrest savings of that debt reduction if maintained would have prolonged SS? If there is less debt it is a lot easier to pay back those IOUs to SS.Originally posted by: Nik

they are not good friends and neither would ever proclaim to be. they are and have been working together on tsunami disaster relief. that is being humane and not full of sh!t and i give them both respect for that.

The bombing, national debt, and military are all fair points but let's not kid ourselves - the fact that Clinton's affair was a national spectacle was more due to the witchunt led by Ken Starr than Clinton himself. Presidential affairs are nothing new to the presidency dating back to Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings - it was Ken Starr and the cronies involved in the witchunt that made this one a national spectacle.
