whenever you get autograph, try and get it with only the person names who is signing it, it makes it more valuable if you ever decide to sell it. who the hell wants to buy a book "To Bagwan" when your name is Stan.

Meeting that slimeball isn't something you should be proud of unless it's one of those "here's what NOT to do, kids" kinda things.

He did a great job running the country and all you remember him for is an affair he had?
Many presidents have had an affair, he just had the bad luck of being caught.

Don't know about this case in particular, but a lot of people hate Bill because he had a damn successful presidency and has a (D) next to his name. The affair was just a great excuse for these people to nail him to a stake.

I met Hillary once when I was in DC as part of a presidential classroom thing. My friend and I rounded the corner and there she was with her entourage. My friend asked for a quick picture and gushed all over her, and Hillary was very rude and obnoxious about the whole thing.

I was not impressed, and that has nothing to do with any (D) next to her name.

I've heard on NPR last week that he is now big friends with Bush Sr. Just another example of how full of sh1t politicians are.

Well it's one thing to meet some actor in the street and gush over him. Meeting the former President of the US, one of, if not THE most powerful positions in the world is a pretty big deal.

Nah, I dislike how he started bombing in the middle east when he just happened to be considered for impeachment. I don't like the fact that he was dumb enough to put himself in a situation that would illicit impeachment to begin with. I don't like how he almost emptied Social Security to pay a lot of the national debt. I don't like how he was disolving the military. I hate the fact that he turned the whitehouse into such a huge spectacle of the personal life that he could not control.

Yeah, but that's where Bill is different. Whenever he meets anyone, he has a natural ability to focus on the person and make him feel special. His social skills are what people remember about him. Hillary OTOH shows none of those abilities.

He had a book signing, for his book My Life, today at my local Borders. They allowed 500 people and I was one of them (one of the last). It was about in hour and a half in line, but it was so worth it. It was a very humbling experience to meet him. Got to shake his hand and we minced a few words as he signed my book. Very cool!

`K

The bombing, national debt, and military are all fair points but let's not kid ourselves - the fact that Clinton's affair was a national spectacle was more due to the witchunt led by Ken Starr than Clinton himself. Presidential affairs are nothing new to the presidency dating back to Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings - it was Ken Starr and the cronies involved in the witchunt that made this one a national spectacle.

they are not good friends and neither would ever proclaim to be. they are and have been working together on tsunami disaster relief. that is being humane and not full of sh!t and i give them both respect for that.

You mean where he used portions of the surplus to buy down the debt? You do know that money would have been spent elsewhere right? You also know he proposed the "lock-box" right? You know how long the intrest savings of that debt reduction if maintained would have prolonged SS? If there is less debt it is a lot easier to pay back those IOUs to SS.

If you want to b!tch about the IOUs Clinton isn't at fault there.

<----BTW Republican.

I got to meet him back in HS when he was still the President. I just remember thinking, "Man his nose looks a lot bigger in real life than on TV."

I was refering to the piece on NPR describing how they "bonded" during their tour of the disaster area. It quoted them saying how much they grew liking each other and now have joint weekend plans.

My comment had nothing to do with their work for the tsunami relief.

Huh... I haven't done much homework on many other presidents of modern times, which is probably why I'm oblivious to previously similar happenings. I don't approve of those either, but if they've been happening for decades, it would make sense that this one got way more press just because of a witch hunt. Even then, why didn't he just come out and admit it? Bah... oh well. I'm glad he's gone. What's he pushing for now? Leading the UN or the EU or something.
