See, this and the aforementioned pulling on the rope too hard thing are obviously 2 design flaws. Couple that with the accident rate... it's a wonder why people do this voluntarily.

If an accident was imminent, you should just iron-man face-first-it toward Earth... it'll be quick and painless.
