I miss folder size in windows 7 and vista.

I have tried several different ways to get it to work to no avail. does anyone know a sure fire way to make it work. Like they tried and it did it.

Try using some capitalization to make yourself more clear. When you say "folder size" it's different from saying Folder Size, which is the name of a program that someone has written.

I tried Folder Size and it didnt work for me.

If you're desperate, install Cygwin, cd to that folder, and run "du -s ."

I rely on Folder Size also, I really miss this functionality in Win 7. It would be awesome if *someone* could find a way to make it work, I have not yet found an easier and more efficient way of working with folders containing large amounts of files:

I use other programs instead of explorer. There are a lot of good free file managers that are much more versatile than windows native explorer.

What a coincidence........I just recently upgraded to Win7 x64 and was searching for a solution for this yesterday. I found a program called Shellfolderfix. It will remember windows positions and sizes. I am installing it right now.
