I miss Slide to Unlock

I hate the new button system. Really. A lot. Best I could do so far is change the settings to allow touch to login instead of push to login (so no more double-tap with fingerprint, just click-to-wake & hold for a second for fingerprint ID), but man, it's still annoying. #fwp

You must have a 6 or earlier? If you have a 6S or later device you simply raise to wake, with your finger resting on touch ID and the phone unlocks.

Slide to unlock is simply not needed anymore, the change in iOS 10 is a precursor to a future button-less iPhone.

The new method only works right if you have Touch ID enabled.

I don't like how raise-to-wake doesn't show the exact same screen it would when you wake it by pressing a button. For example, it doesn't show the charge percentage under the time. Annoying.

Yeah, iPhone SE. I call it a 5 SE because people have no idea what I'm talking about, it's just a 6 crammed into a 5 shell. It came with raise-to-wake & Touch ID:

It really sucks on iPad air, no touch id (not that it would help, touch id doesn't work right for my thumb for some reason).

Yes it sucks horribly. I upgraded my iPad Air to an Air 2 because I couldn't stand it. They couldn't be bothered to leave "swipe to unlock" for devices without TouchID, must've been too much work. Making you press the home button every time...LOL

And using the iPad Air 2's fingerprint sensor made me realize how crappy the sensor is on my iPhone 6. Hopefully they release a new phone this year instead of rehashing the same hardware for a 4th year in a row.

The Air 2 and iPhone 6 are both using TouchID 1. IIRC, the 6s, and 7 are the only two devices with TouchID 2. It could be the simple matter of the Air 2 being a faster device.
