i moved to the SF bay area two weeks ago and i must say...

I love it here. Lots of diversity, so much good food and things to do. To me, this city has a lot of flavor and edge. It has everything that I want in a city but could do without the gheys.

Every time I move away I come crawling back, though I prefer Oakland. Make sure you go to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Monterey Bay Aquarium, I'd stay away from the SF zoo though somebody got killed by a lion not to long ago.

I couldn't care less about diversity, there is good food to be had anywhere in the US, and San Francisco is the asshole of the universe. Gays are a net zero, I just don't care.

That's similar to what I love about Toronto. Downtown where I live, everybody is a minority. There are tons of different coloured people and different ethnicities and different languages. There are no racial tensions. Everybody just does their own thing trying to make their lives better. Kind of like the ideal "New World" dream, except it is actually happening. The opportunities for experiencing different things are endless.

Also, no fat people makes it even better. Once you get into the suburbs though, you hit the mass of overweight angry white people.

why the gay hate? I'm as straight as you can get and I think gay dudes are awesome. There are tons of flamers at my work and we have a ton of fun clowning around. One of them was talking shit the other day in front of some of the noobs. Without missing a beat I said, "STFU. You're gay and have a baby mama" One of the noob chicks looked like she was about to shit bricks.

I think I'd much rather live on the east coast in an area that has some history. Philly or Boston would be great. DC would be my dream if it wasn't filled with crooked politicians.

Its like that here in Michigan too. In my specific town, there are large numbers of basically every race I can think of. No...I take that back. We don't have many Aussies or Brits. I wish we did because I love their accents. The cool things is that there is no racial tension. We're all living in a craphole, so maybe that's why we stick together? I don't really know why it works but I'm glad it does.
