I need a good CRT monitor within the range of $150 and $250

I got a new monitor for Christmas, but it was a crappy AOC 19" non-flat screen.

I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 91 right now, and I love it, but it's starting to die. It's making this irritating high-pitched noise when it runs.

I'm giving the AOC monitor to my sister since she was going to get one soon anyway, and my parents are buying me a new one. The thing is, I don't know where to even start to look for a good quality CRT monitor. I have no clue what dot pitch is, and I don't know how to tell whether or not a monitor has good colors besides actually looking at it, is there some sort of way that they're rated?

Could someone could help me out and tell me what to look for, or just give me some links to some good 19" flat screen CRT monitors?

I picked up a NEC Super Bright FE991sb at Fry's about 3 weeks ago for 149.99. White only. I went in looking for a black one but it was 259.99. For 110.00 I chose the white. It is a nice monitor 19' good color 1600x1200 @ 75 I think.

Wow, with prices that low I may even be able to go for a 20 - 21"! :-D

Dunno what shipping will run you but my Buds have some Refurbed 21" Monitors that have 6 month warranty's starting out @ under $175 and I picked up a couple of
NEC1350X's which have DVI for $219...LOOKS BRAND NEW

You should check out the dp930 sb. It's a 19 inch flat screen nec mitsubishi diamondtron. It's a beautiful monitor and comes with a good warranty. It's refurbished but you can't tell they look brand new when you get them. You can pick it up from http://www.nm-select.com for around 199 bucks

Maybe consider the Samsung 997DF, its an excellent 19'' for less than $200.

I have one of those too and it's served me very well. I've heard Viewsonics and NEC Diamondtrons are better for the money, though.

The viewsonic P95f and the G90F. I'd go with the P95f since it's aperture grille. Buying a refrub is a pretty big risk...send it back for repairs you'll be slammed with huge shipping costs.
