I need a killer sound system

How should I set one up for my SBLive!5.1 card? Right now I've got a 2.1 Altec Lansing set hooked up to the front speaker plug, but I'm willing to ditch them and go to something else if I need to. I'm interested to find out what everyone runs or wants. I love 5.1.

I say ditch the computer speakers and go for hooking it into a home system if you have the cash

I hooked mine up to an AIWA system and it sounded amazingly better than my Boston Pro 5peace set.

1. How much cash can U spend?
2. How much space do you have?

Well, I would hook it to my stereo except that it's in the living room and my pc is in my bedroom. Money is no object b/c I'm rich, however I'm not stupid so I'd like to get deals where I can. Is it better to have a whole 5.1 speaker set or to get a 2.1 and a 2 speaker set?

BTW if you want to know how much I want to spend, let's say $300

Klipsch announced a 5.1 set a week ago. It will retail for around $399. If I were in the market for a new 5.1 set thats what I would buy. Good luck.

$300 - Your best bet are the Klipsch ProMedia 4.1's. There are other very nice systems inthat price range...your ears will be the judge. The Boston Acoustics BA4800s (I think that's the model #) sound very good as well, but the satellites are kinda small and to me they sound underpowered when compared to the PMs. But that's my opinion.
