Yeah, I really wish the OP would change that. It's starting to get annoying.

Then I'm going to get angry.

Then I'm going to hate....

Well you know the rest.

Okay, I changed it.
Now I'm going to spend the rest of the day pointing out that anyone who says cell phone is stupid because it's actually cellular telephone.

I guess people too lazy to use "ph" instead of "f" might have not figured that out.

I own the Sprint PPC-6700 and love it.
ay, thats teh smae fone i r hav. (Sorry, had to do it. Excuse me for being a smartass.)

I bought the same phone (the xv6700) for my daughter and she cracked the lcd. She wasn't very fond of it either. I thought we'd really enjoy them, but they're just a bit much. Bulky and fragile, along with the side button issue, it's just not doing it for us.
I thought I'd use the IE browser a lot more than I do. It's so slow that it's damn near unusable, although it has pulled me out of a couple pinches.
The list of reasons I don't enjoy it are endless, but mostly it just doesn't fit "what I do".
I replaced my daughter's phone with the vx9800 and she adores it. My girlfriend and her daughter use that same phone and they love it.
I've tried using them but I'm just not fond of the LG interface. I can get used to it though.

I'd never give the 6700 to a kid, that's just taking too much risk. You don't have to baby these things, I have dropped mine more than a few times, but giving it to a irresponsible kid? No way.

It's too slow because you have Verizon, which sucks. I get plenty of speed on Sprint.

Disable the side buttons and you don't have to worry.

My kid isn't irresponsible. Her broken phone looks better than mine. She had it in her purse inside it's little pouch and someone sat on her purse. She was terribly upset about it, completely sick.
She's 10 years old now and has had a phone for 2 years. Never lost one, never broke one, and I've sold two of her phones and you couldn't tell them from brand new.
Never ran up the bill or bought any ringtones or games without permission, either.
If only her 15 year old sister would act like her.
I'm proud of the kid. She's doing good.

The deal with the Samsung A900 is if you try to use all the features, Camera, video, music(sweet mp3 player), you will most likely only get a day out of it. I charge mine every night so it's not a big deal. If I go out of town for the weekend and forget my charger. By the second day or even the 3rd day I just switch it to power save mode with about a bar left, and it goes all day.

I have never had the phone die on me due to low battery life. Power Save actually works. That's why it's there. There are also several adjustments that can be made to extend the battery life(such as LCD brightness and backlit key options).

However, if you only use them every once in awhile, and let's say you use it as any other cell phone, you can go 2 days(3-4 with power save features which is very useful).

There is a lot of built-in memory, and the camera works really well as far as quality go. It's no digicam, but gets the job done.

Signal is pretty good too.

It doesn't vibrate insanely like some other cell phones. If I'm in class or in a meeting at work and it goes off, I can feel it, but it's not like some other ones where everyone can hear it giving you the jolly of your life.
I have the A900 as well, and I've gotten the low battery ring too many times, and I charge it every night as well. (I also play Scrabble on it in the bathroom ) I've heard there's now an extended battery available.
Other then the battery it's a fantastic phone, I haven't had any problems with it.

Hah! That might be the problem right there!

Extended battery eh? Looks like I'll be making a detour over to the Sprint store after work. I probably won't buy it direct though as it gets to be to expensive at Sprint. I want a bluetooth headset, so I might wait until I get my taxes back to get both.

We'll see.
