I need advice from a soldering guru on this forum...

I won't bore you with the details, but let me assure you all that had a good reason for doing what I was doing when disaster struck.

The Disaster: I broke (what I assume is) a resister off my Classic Athlon 950mhz CPU

The resister is (was) located at the C105 position on the front of the PCB, just to the left of the upper left heatplate stud hole.

Question 1: Where can I get a replacement resister?
I have the one that broke off, but it could be damaged, I'm not sure.

Question 2: How difficult is this job, and is there anybody experienced enough to do this type of work for a reasonable price?

That was a capacitor (designated by the C* reference designator)

You can get a replacement from www.digikey.com

If you're moderately good at soldering it is an easy fix.

If you know how to solder, you can fix this. You need to get the smallest soldering tip you can find and some very fine solder. Both parts will cost you about $10. Worth it to give it a shot IMO. If you feel too apprehensive about DIY, take it to and electronics or computer repair place. Good luck.

I did a very similar thing to my slot tbird 700 still waiting to get the values of the capacitors though
