OK, so I'm cheating by editing this. The Dandy Dash RC car thread is dead and nowhere to be found. I painted mine but am not sure where to cut on the rear wing. There were some posts in the previous thread of people who had finished and painted the bodies on their cars that I wanted to see again to see where others cut theirs, hehe If you can repost the links that would be great. Thanks,

&

Saw this when I was looking at printers for a buddy:

Epson Stylus Photo 820 at Staples.com

Add the obligatory pen or paper clips and visit your fave coupon site.

This printer was rated really good. It uses 6 ink colors to reproduce photographs. They said the output was so clean you could not see the dots on the output of a photo.

You cannot see the dots on photos printed on my Epson Stylus Photo 750. This printer is several steps up so I can imagine the photo output is pretty amazing. Plus it does the edge to edge photos which is pretty cool.

New to posting, so be kind. With that stated...although you'll pay a little more in taxes, you can save even more if you add in the TAXCUT deal:

Epson Printer $150.00
Taxcut $14.95 (476239)
Microsoft Money $29.99 (465157)
BIC Wite Out Correction tape $7.95 (385550)

If you purchase Taxcut and Money together, you can get a rebate for the full amount (please refer to the on-line specials on Staples.com, as well as other threads within this Forum). The correction tape also has a full rebate (please refer to weekly ad -- this item is eligible for rebate online).

So, if my math is correct, this will bring you to a total of about $202.89 before tax. Now for the fun part:

Total $202.89

Taxcut rebate $14.95
Money rebate $29.99
Wite Out rebate $7.95
Printer rebate $50.00

$40 Coupon $40.00

Final $60 plus tax

Thoughts?

Nice deal, so in the end you pay $10 less but also get Taxcut, Money and Wite Out (what is this?).

It's correction tape -- remember Liquid Paper? The stuff that you'd use when you'd make a mistake on a pen and paper document? Well, this is just the latest and greatest technology that the Liquid Paper people have to offer. Rather than spreading the wet liquid over your mistakes, you just use this little roller of white tape to cover them up with. That's about all that I know...

Epson... I always wanted to ask why they have this weird 2880x720 resolution. All other printers have something like 2400x1200. Why Epson has better vertical but lower horizontal resolution is beyond me. Why 4:1, and not the normal 2:1? Does it actually matter?

Thx for the deal John P.

Just wondering.....
In the product specs, under accessories included, it says "Starter Color & Black Ink Cartridges". Does anyone think that these carts could be light on the ink? Don't want to have to buy new carts right away.

Depends on what you consider a better deal:

The printer at Staples will ship today and is $77 AR with tax shipped OVERNIGHT.

JR charges $49.99 AR plus $9.90 for standard shipping, AND an additional $19.95 for the same 1-Day shipping service Staples is offering ($79.84 total AR). JR also won't ship the printer for 1-2 business days.

Thanks, but by my calculations I'll have my printer tomorrow for $2.84 less!

Ism't it possible to have Staples PM the $99.99 price. Staples will want the next day shipping for $19.99 the the price is now 119.98 and ow use the $20 of 100 coupon if they still exist and then use the $50 MIR for the final price of $49.98 + tax.

I never PM'd Staples with another online store. Aybody know if this would work.

Thanks

If you read the fine print, the 1-day shipping at JR is an additional $19.95 over the standard $9.90 shipping charge.

So I guess that adds another $10 for $60 pluss tax, which still seems like the best deal if it goes through.

Thanks

Definitely. Let us know if you pull it off. Also, isn't Staples at a 110% PM now? That should make things even more interesting.

Staples only does that "Next day shipping" crap if you live in their same day delivery area. Fortunately, I do not.

Has Epson started putting the actual ink jets on the cartridges like other manufacturers do?

I've got an older Epson (a 640) and some of the jets are clogged. With other brands you switch cartridges and you get a new set of jets as well, but with my Epson I have to get them cleaned somewhere. Probably cheaper to buy a new printer with some of the AT deals
