Never heard of this doppleganger, but then again i'm not into DM in a big way. i'm into Single player action. TFC was my thing as far as team play goes.
Detonator 4's wont be released until later this week. You can be sure Brandon Hill will have a news post up to let you know the moment they are available
It's interesting that for the past year Nvidia has been "leaking" drivers like mad. Now that there are some truelly performance inhansing drivers that they are not on 1 site. I think perhaps we are all beta testers and ATI should take note and "leak" Radeon drivers. The Nvidia employyess must have been threatened with real punishment if these got leaked out. And I am curious, would anybody really pay 400 bucks for a video card???
"would anyone pay 80k for a sports sedan? Oh yes, because the M5 is absolutely incredible! "
I'm not sure what the M5 is, I know, the Mach 5, go speed racer. Anyway, at least there is a road to drive the M5 on. There are like no games that take advantage of the full functions of these cards and if you wait for like 2 months the price will drop. Especially with nvivia and ATI competing now.
"would anybody really pay 400 bucks for a video card??? "
Whats with people whining?
3-4 years ago people would plunk 800 on the latest and greatest intel proc, and 100-150 for a video card, I paid 245 for my axia tbird and 400 for my gf3, its cheaper and faster now!
I will do what I damn well please with my money!
Get it right. NVIDIA does not leak the drivers. They are forced to provide their OEM customers with the latest beta drivers for testing and its these OEM's who leak the drivers. Probably also developers who have access to their developer site. The reason why no one has these drivers in their possesion is because NVIDIA did not provide these drivers to any of their OEM customers or to developers. I have a friend who works for a video card company who uses NVIDIA chipsets and he says they haven't received the Detonator 4 drivers either so I doubt you will see these drivers until they are officially released by NVIDIA.
