I Need Hardware Advice!!

Hey guys (and girls?!?) I need some advice for a new system I am thinking of building. I am currently looking at :
AMD Athlon 1GHz Processor
Abit KT7 Motherboard
256MB SDRAM
64MB Video card
19" Flat screen monitor

This system would be mainly used for high end graphics (ie use with Adobe Photoshop, Quark Express and not forgetting gaming!!)

My questions I have are what type of video card should I go for and also what is the best 19" monitor to get that doesn't have those faint lines like the Sony Trinitron!!?

Wait for DDR if you can. Try to get a MSI or Asus board instead. What video card are you getting?

I was thinking about getting either a ATI Radeon 64DDR or Guillemot/Hercules 3D Prophet II 64MB GeForce 2 GTS or Creative Labs 3D Blaster Annihilator 2 GeForce 2 GTS but I'm wondering what would be best for graphic design work.

Everyone seems to recommend the ABIT motherboard, is there a reason I should choose a different one???

If you're 2D user mainly look at Matrox and ATI.

IIyama makes some pretty decent non AG monitors. (the S types I think)

Abit hasn't been the top choice IMHO lately. The Geforce2 GTS would be best for 3D work. Get the Asus A7V or MSI K7T PRO2.
