Hello fellow members, I need some serious help when it come to builting my dream computer(Gaming PC)

Ok anything with an asterick beside it i will not change, anything else is for yo to recomend

Oh yea i am a big fan of FPS games(Online/Offline) so i want to build around that thought.

*Thermaltake Level 10 GT
*Thermaltake Challenger Ultimate Keyboard
OCZ 60GB SSD(suggest a better 1) for my OS
16GB Corsair Vengance(suggest better)
24"-27"Moniter(i need 1 for less than 250 prefferably lower than 5ms)
Radeon HD 7970 3GB(if you can find better plz tell me)
R.A.T 7 Mouse from Cyborg (Prefferably under $90)

For the Processor i have always been a fan of AMD so i say AMD all the way but im rethinking that so if you could find a processor for under $250 that puts the AMD 8150 FX to shame please post it. My idea is that im gonna get alot of comments on the I5-3570K

Motherboard depends on the Processor

It would help if (1) you answered [thread=80121]a few questions[/thread] for us, and (2) didn't make all your text green.

Intel is the right processor brand for gaming, but which processor depends on the answers to the above questions.

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Mostly FPS Gaming

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
$1350

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
USA

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
Intel and AMD Fanboy but im goin with Intel.ATi, Seagate

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
None
*

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
OC
8. What resolution will you be using?

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Note that it is usually not cost or time effective to choose your build more than a month before you actually plan to be using it.
I want to finnish the latest Sept

You're doing your PC a disservice by spending 20% of your budget on a case. Think, man, THINK! It's just a case!

CPU i5-3570K $230 [Newegg]
Cooler Hyper 212 Evo $28 [Amazon]
Mobo Asrock Z77 Pro3 $95 [Newegg]
RAM 2x4GB Kingston 1600mhz $40 [Amazon] 16GB simply not needed for gaming
GPU MSI Radeon 7870 $295 ($275 AR) [NCIX]
SSD Crucial M4 128GB $105 [Amazon]
HDD Seagate 2TB $108 [Amazon]
DVD Asus DVD-RW $17 [Newegg]
PSU Seasonic M12II 520W $60 [Newegg]
Case Level 10 GT .... argh, no. Just no. Antec Three Hundred Two $60 [Amazon] is excellent value. Or pick a sub $100 case you like if looks really are that important.

= $1038 so far.

Monitor
Asus VH238H $160 [Amazon]
Keyboard Thermaltake Challenger Ultimate $86 [Newegg]
Mouse Logitech G400 $34 [Amazon]
Mat Zowie G-TF Speed $25 [Newegg]

= $1343 total. + shipping

How you were intending to fit overclockable Intel components, 16GB RAM, a 7950, a 27" monitor and a Level 10 GT case into $1350, I have no idea... :X. Sounds more like an $1800 build to me.

When I saw the budget and the title something didn't add up quite right

Can't build the ultimate rig on a $1350 budget, lehtv's build is pretty much the best you're going to get. (You can save more if you have a Microcenter nearby)

OP drop the 16GB of RAM down to 8GB, I know you are thinking bigger numbers must be better but you will never see more than 6GB used playing any game in existence including the RAM windows chaches.

Use the money you save to get a 120GB SSD, 60GB is very restrictive for OS/programs.

LOL, nice.

OP, lehtv has laid out a good build for you, but keep in mind that those exact part choices are only really good for a week or so. If you truly do plan on waiting until September, you should post an update a couple of days before you plan to buy.

There's nothing wrong with the board that lehtv built, in fact you could possibly go cheaper with the ASRock Z75 Pro3 since I believe it has every feature that you need as well.

And I would suggest in favor of the Crucial M4 128 GB, very reliable SSD.

That gaming chair looks more like it's made for sitting on the floor playing console games than for sitting a desk playing PC games.

Either way, it's not what I would do with the money if you already own a desk chair you find reasonably comfortable. Why would this purchase be separate from the computer budget? Either you have the money to spend on your computer experience or you don't.

Go for the Crucial SSD, they have far better reviews in terms of reliability.

You need to adjust your expectations or budget...
$1350 won't build you "the ULTIMATE FPS Gaming PC"
