I have WD 120GB HD which has Win XP Home installed on it and over a period of time it start acting up, that is, running very slowly. I believe caused by Virus/trojan/adware as when I ran Search&Deystroy there would be a lot of 'things' found even after clean up.
Now the computer will not even boot up. I attached the drive as a slave drive on another computer and it does not recognize it. A tool called EasyRecovery was used by a friend and showed the drive but only 33GB (this may the free amount of space) but the rest was not recognized, that is, the place where it should say the file system type (ntfs) is was blank.
I'm an idot and did not back up the data and no I'm really desprate to recover, I'm mainly interested in recovering my pictures (dowloaded from my camera) which really the most important thing I want to recover.
Please, if someone can advise me on how I can recover the data, I will be be very grateful.
