I need help with a hot deal at CompUSA

CompUSA in Louisville had a Nextel 1000plus phone for $49.99 that I purchased this evening, the only problem is, they only had 1 and I need 2. I called Lexington and Nashville and they didn't have any. Well Louisville didn't have any either, but there was 1 in the case. If any of you guys in different states are kind enough to swing through CompUSA and see if there any in the case, I would gladly pay for the phone and the shipping to get it to me. Thanks

Yeah, I tried that. The phone is discontinued, so they are cheaper, but there are still some laying around that haven't sold, or have been returned. Or so you would think. :disgust:

Also if you are in doubt of whether or not something isn't appropriate, why dont you e-mail the admins for approval first. Why not police yourself instead of cluttering up the board.

Dont you need to sign up for service to get the phone? i really dont think This will work for someone that doesn't sign up, because the price will be higher.

The only reason I posted here is because I know that the kind people here go to CompUSA and might look for me.

I did put in my zip code with no luck. But I inputed random zipcodes and supposedly they are in stock in Miami and Bellvue Washington, so maybe there are some floating around. I wonder if an individual store would ship to me. Washington is in pacific time zone, I should call and see if they really have them.

Hold on, let the thread die, I am going to see if I can get a store to ship it to me. When I called Bellevue it said to "press 2 to place an order and have it shipped to you" so maybe CompUSA will ship it.

If you had posted yesterday, I coulda picked one up for your today I live about an hour away from Indianapolis, but went down there today, and drove right by the CompUSA. Shows that they are in stock there was well. In stock in Cincinnati as well. Won't be going down there again any time soon though.

I called Cincinnati before they closed, even though it says they have them, the person who answered the phone said they couldn't find any in the store. Louisville said they were out of stock, but they had one. I don't know. I am going to call Indy first thing in the morning and see if they will ship to me. I just don't know if they will do that or even if they really have them. Thanks anyway though!

I believe that some Nextel phones are compatible with the iDEN 800Mhz and GSM 900Mhz networks...it uses iDEN in the U.S. and South America and GSM when you are travelling abroad in Europe, Asia, etc.
