I need Laptop suggestions

I haven't followed the laptop scene for a long time, and now find myself in the market for one. I'm looking for something that'll hold it's own in gaming and provide me with enough muscle all around to replace my desktop for the next few years.

My budget is about $2000, and i was reccommended the ASUS G1S-B1, ive also looked at it's slighty weaker brother the A1. The ASUS seems like a good starting point but looking at the vast range of makes and models out there has made the quest to find the perfect solution intimidating to say the least.

I would love to get some help with regards to comparable models to the G1 series from other manufacterers. I really don't know where to start. Thanks.

If you are looking for gaming power for the next several years, then I would recommend you look for a laptop with an 8700M GT instead. This Toshiba laptop looks promising. The processor is not as powerful, but with the 8700M GT, its a more balanced computer. Its also cheaper than the Asus and has a 17" screen. You can always look at Alienware as well.
