I rarely do this but now I'm seeking advices and suggestions. I need new games, I feel like I'm reaching a point where I know every corners of my currently owned games, even with modifications, and I already see myself getting bored in a few months from now if I do nothing to augment my game library's variety and diversity.

Here are my games (in no specific order of preference):

Diablo II + Lord of Descrution
StarCraft + Brood War
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun + Firestorm
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars + Kane's Wrath (that's very soon, in March)
Medieval II: Total War
Rome: Total War + Barbarian Invasions

Steam games (H-L series, RO Ostfront 41-45, CS, DoD, NS, TFC, TF2, Peggles, ... and so on)

Unreal Tournament GOTY Edition
Unreal Tournament 2004
Unreal Tournament 3
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War + WA + DC + SS (that's very soon, in March)
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II + The Rise of the Witch-King
Star Wars: Empire at War + Forces of Corruption
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds + Clone Campaigns
Star Wars: Battlefront II
Age of Empires II + The Conquerors
Age of Empires III + The WarChiefs
Universe at War: Earth Assault
Crysis
Doom 3
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind + Blood Moon + Tribunal
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Battlefield 1942 + Road to Rome
Battlefield 2
Painkiller
Company of Heroes
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
WarCraft III + The Frozen Throne

All of which are installed. Now I might be forgetting a few uninstalled titles which are currently in stasis someone in my desks (if you guys give me suggestions and one of those games are part of my uninstalled titles list I will certainly remember). So as you can see I mostly play First-Person-Shooter and Real-Time-Strategy games, mostly, but not only. I am quite open minded and I can enjoy more genres (hey I do enjoy Peggle Extreme!). Really, you guys just have to throw some titles at me, and I'll do the rest myself (Googling them for information, what they are about and so on), unless you do want to give a brief description by yourself, which of course I would appreciate.

And, by the way, they don't have to be on-line only, and they don't even have to have any multi-player at all, also they don't have to have the same graphics as Crysis.

Thanks.

Hmmm, thanks, I'll consider that one.

And, additionally, I forgot to mention quite important titles:

Bioshock
Neverwinter Nights 2
Prey
Supreme Commander
Soldier of Fortune

All of which are uninstalled.

Ok, about CoD 4, I've owned it for three days and I returned it, I should have mentioned that. As for Deus Ex, I've played and finished it a couple of years ago, I really liked it, but I don't own it anymore. And I've tried No One Lives Forever 2 once, however I never finished it and in fact I never got the time to properly get into it, so I will certainly give it a try if I can find it.

Thanks for your suggestions guys so far.

Much older games for you to try:
Total Annihilation > Supreme Commander (although it is much, much older). You should try it sometime
Fallout
Fallout 2
System Shock 2
Alpha Centauri (best civ builder of all time)
Star Wars: Jedi Knight (Dark Forces II)
Jedi Outcast
Evil Genius
Half-Life + Opposing Force + Blue Shift
Homeworld (one of the best RTS of all time)
Homeworld 2 (similarly)
Mechwarrior 4 + Mechwarrior 4: Black Knight + Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries

More recent titles:
Quake 4
Civ 3
Civ 4 + Beyond the Sword expansion
Hitman: Blood Money (not the highest on the list, but still fun)
Knights of the Old Republic
Knights of the Old Republic 2
Rise of Nations: Thrones and Patriots (NOT Rise of Legends, done by the same company but was horrible)
Age of Mythology
GTA3
GTA Vice City
GTA San Andreas
Half-Life 2 + Episode 1 + Episode 2
Portal
Prince of Persia
Prince of Persia 2 (not as good as the first one)
Prince of Persia 3 (not as good as the first but better than the second)
Serious Sam 2
Sid Meier's Pirates
Star Wars - Republic Commando (one of the finest squad shooters I've played)
Sins of a Solar Empire

You've got a fantastic list of great games on there. Try some of these out. The older list has some real gems, I think EVERYONE should play Fallout at least once. All of the games on that list are awesome, but here are some of my favorites if you don't want to go through all of them.

Fallout + Fallout 2
Alpha Centauri
Homeworld + Homeworld 2
Quake 4
Knights of the Old Republic + KOTOR 2
Star Wars Republic Commando
Half-life 2 + Ep 1 + Ep 2
Portal
GTA San Andreas

Alright guys, I'm back from my local store.

I found a second-hand copy of Homeworld 2, and a brand new Rise of Nations, plus the Thrones & Patriots expansion pack.

1) Homeworld 2

I know I should have tried the first one before getting the sequel but alas I couldn't find it (I might have to erm... try it, eventually, since I never buy anything from on-line sellers). Now, something is strange with Homeworld 2. I tried the tutorial, and so far I understand everything they are telling me to do, it's ok. But the camera has a major problem. It's a little difficult to explain but I'll do my best.

The actual game speed (the ships themselves) is blazing fast. But the camera movement itself suffers from a delay, if I can say so. What I mean is for example I right-click, and while holding the mouse button I have to move the mouse itself so that the camera can rotate left and right, up and down and so on. Well the thing is I move it in a direction... and hmmm... well, nothing happens for maybe 10 seconds, and oh ! eventually that move is kind of detected and finally the camera moves where I wanted it to. The only camera movement that is being "registered" immediately is the Sensors function (where the camera zooms out to reveal bigger view of the map, similarly to Supreme Commander). All other camera movements are tremendously delayed and I don't know what's wrong with it.

And, well because of that I kind of left it as is until I find a fix or something...

Oh and yes it is patched to version 1.1 (unless there's a more recent patch?).

2) RoN: Thrones & Patriots

Ok...

Now that one really surprised me! If only I knew about it earlier, I would have definitely bought it then. Now I have it and I'm glad I've been suggested to get that one, thanks for that guys. What surprised me the most is how similar that game is to Empire Earth II (which I forgot to list in my games list, I do own it, but is not currently installed, although I liked it, but it wasn't anything awesome). I'm just wondering now, since they are both so similarly done (interface and the territory-based mechanics) if one of both of those game's developers ever worked together once.

However, despite the similarities, I would say that whatever EEII could do, then Thrones & Patriots does it much better, and not to mention much faster (the A.I performance is nothing short of mind blowing, I tried a very large skirmish map with many A.I, seven of them, and I never noticed a hitch due to the presence of so many units doing so many things, contrary to the A.I performance in EEII which was anything but good, probably due to bad path-finding methods... although I must admit that I didn't own my current processor back then... indeed, that must have played a major role in performance).

And there are so many things to do, so many missions, so many options for skirmishes (again, very similar to EEII, really, which of those games created that interface and those options first? I think I can recall some of those options and interface back to Age of Empires II though, and not EEII... and I don't even know if EEII was released first, or was the original Rise of Nations released first? Oh well that isn't very important I guess).

I'm going to have a lot of fun with it.

NOTE: By the way, I've searched everywhere and I couldn't find a patch for Thrones & Patriots, was there any patch released for the expansion pack at all? And if not is it known to have some un-fixed bugs due to the lack of support by the developer or any similar stories?

Now with all that said, I'm also considering the following titles from your suggestions guys:

Star Wars: Jedi Knight -Jedi Academy- (is it better than Jedi Outcast?)

Star Wars: Republic Commando (is it only squad-based like... say... S.W.A.T?)

The Settlers: Rise of an Empire (ah yes, another "Empire" game, is it similar to AoE or RoN? Or maybe Civilizations?)

Age of Mythology (yet another RTS I completely missed, it seems very similar to Age of Empires, and perhaps done by the same developer?)

Civilizations 4: Beyond the Sword (Ok, the last Civilization game I've played was so long ago that I don't remember which one in the series it was, so I would like to ask, is Civ 4 turned-based like the Total War series and then you go and fight in a 3D environment? Or is it more like Sim City with more military mechanics and such?)

Thanks again guys.

I'd say the settlers is more like AOE than the other games, except that it mainly focuses on your city and keeping your people happy. there is very little combat and only 2 unit types - archers and swordsman.

Jedi Academy is a must if you haven't played it. Should fly on current hardware. Republic Commando is good and it is indeed squad based but I found the difficulty kind of punishing. If you can find it for a song it's worth a play.

Indeed, I'm taking all of them as serious suggestions, I'm just currently Googling as much as I can about them all. Although I did play some of them once or twice back a few years ago, but I never got into them much due to lack of time or perhaps interest. I've noticed that some of you suggested the Valve games such as Portal and Half-Life, but please look at my original owned games list, I've mentioned that I already own all of them (Orange Box and more).

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. opened my eyes... Crysis, HL2, COD4 are games for mass public. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is unique; definitely recommended.
