I need some help deciding which colleges I should visit

This summer, I'll be in both Kansas City, MO and southern California (no, not at the same time). I've decided on seeing Caltech in California and possibly CalPoly, but I have no idea what schools are in Missouri. Could you guys give me some recommendations on which schools to look at? I'm looking for schools with a good engineering program.

I don't know about their engineering program, but Washington University in St. Louis is a very good school. It might be worth looking into.

hmmm.. those are quite two extremes.. not to dis on CalPoly, but Caltech is the best of the best .... I would rank it higher than MIT...

I suggest going to UCLA! also, there is Havey Mudd and other great engineering schools

I visited CalTech. I was totally put off by it. The students there spend 8 hours ON AVERAGE a night doing homework sets. I don't do 8 hours of homework in one whole quarter of school. And not only that, but they enjoy it.

Not to mention that you hafta have perfect grades to get in, and the girls there...well...uhhh

Well, you are pretty close to PCC. I've never had a chance to critique the selection myself, but I assume it is pretty good.

Ah, I'd forgotten about Harvey Mudd. Thanks SendTrash.

And erub, I don't see how it's possible to do 8 hours of homework a night. I'm sure its got quite a workload though. It's not a school for slackers, I'm sure.
