It's not serious. This has ocurred many many times, it's just a reaction of some sort, as many peeps already suggested and confirmed my suspicions. I have been having this issue for quite a long time--9 years. It's very intermittent, but I like Chocolate Candy, and I have a feeling, I have a caffiene allergy, or some sort of immunity attack against it that happens on my tounge.

didn't say it was serious...but if after 9 years you still aren't sure; don't you think a visit to the doctor would be the smart move. You should have seen at least one every year now.

Yeah, thanks for the advice. Don't know about the hydrogen peroxide, sounds a bit too acidic. The salt water really that good? I mean you'd assume it was because of something salty my taste buds malfunctioned. As far as I can see, there are numerous buds that have flamed up, not huge, but they're visibly different. My tounge has this whitish sheen to it (sick fucks, don't even think about it) and there are the bumps. I don't recall eating anything especially salty.

Hydrogen Peroxide is actually a very, very weak acid, especially the diluted stuff you get over the counter. It's really not going to do any harm (I guess it could if you let your teeth soak over a weekor something crazy, but bathing your tongue for a few minutes should be fine)

It's no worse than using mouthwash. In fact, that's sometimes what it's called; a cheap man's mouthwash. You can also make toothpaste out of it

Those brown bottles filled with hydrogen peroxide do do harm...

Oh man, I knew I was spelling tongue wrong, but I had no idea how to replace it. Thanks; noted for future.

It sounds like a simple irritation, but it's pissing me off. It's slightly better today, which is pissing me off even more. Damned thing. I wish it would DIAF

Yeah, rinsed with some salt and H202, but I still have this irritation. On the brown bottle, said it could work as a mouthwash, so I rinsed. Accidentally swallowed some, but I'm still alive. It was diluted by a 1:3 ratio.
