I never knew Democrats were such catastrophizers?

I have been reading the P&N threads this morning looking for some positive words for Bush's next term, but all I find is Democrats attacking Bush on his re-election day!! Democrats are such hypocrites however, when they tell Americans, Bush is trying to drive you to vote for him based off of fear.

..............What are you doing now?!?!

You know Bush is going to run this country through God now, right?
You know Bush is and the Republican congress are going to ignore the liberals forever, right?
Bush is going to take away every last right you have!!!!
Gays will never have rights!!!!! (There is no way they will push through an amendment for banning same sex marriages)

Seriously, what is with the scare tactics? Democrats were saying the same things since 2000, that we were in a world of hurt and that the world was quite possibly coming to an end? I just don't see it? Maybe I am missing it, or maybe you guys just don't know how to lose.
Yeah the Dub Foriegn Policy has been an outstand success:roll:

Dude, unless the Dub get's his act together there is going to be this much animosity shown towards him and his suppoters until the next election.

its one thing to disagree, its another thing to pretend that he is not your president or blindly insist the election was fixed, call people murderers for supporting bush, etc.
Non of which I have done.

i'm not saying you specifically, but take a look at some of your fellow kerry supporters on this board.
Actually I was classifed more as an ABB and rightfully so. After 9/11 and up to the time we realized we were duped into supporting the Dub's ill advised and ill planned excllent adventure into I raq I was luke warm for him. After that I felt betrayed (my own fault for believing him in the first place) and was determined not to trust him again let alone vote for him. I guess others are more forgiving than I am.

I don't think dictator is the proper term. More like a socialist President would be more on the mark, though.

Well he's mine and I believe that my President is rather incompetent. Unfortunately only 48.9% of the voters agreed with me.

Still a loser
So all your victories are enjoyed vicariously through the achievements of others?

I'll tell you when I did feel like a loser. When I found out that I along with millions of other Americans were duped into supporting the Dub's ill advised excellent adventure in Iraq.

Take heart. There are more than that who agree with you (us). When you get past the fervent rhetoric on P&N, you'll find most Bush supporters don't think very highly of Bush. Unfortunately, many of them thought Kerry would be even worse.

Same here. I was okay with bush after he took office. Okay with afghanistan. In fact, I was thinking those anti-war protesters on Afghanistan should all go home and chill. Started becoming ABB right before the "Axis of Evil" speech. Didn't think we should go to Iraq even thought I believe he had WMD without UN support. Definitely ABB when WE violated Resolution 1411. That was the final straw. It was ABB afte that.

if he limits medical malpractice lawsuits, you don't think that will help you?

I'm more concerned about the thousands of nice, uninsured, working people coming thru our doors seriously ill and unable to get routine care or afford needed medications.I have to accept Bush as president, that doesn't mean I have to pretend to like him or his policies and the negative impact on people's lives that I see on a daily basis.

Back when the democrats were in control, how'd you fare then? Face it, noboby has done what it would take to fix the problem you presented. Limiting mal-practice "should" lower nurses and doctors insurance policies that they need to protect them from malpractice, should it not?

The only reason that Bush was elected is because Americans obviously think it is more important to put a stop to homosexuality and abortion than it is to improve the economy, foreign policy, health care, and education.

To the republicans gloating here, if you were proud to wear that stigma, then by all means. I however, think there are more important things in life than homosexuals and fetuses.

Yes, you're right that's the only issues, gays and abortion. Grow up, and come back later.

I'm sorry. Only one in five voters quoted "moral values" as their primary reason for voting. Hardly a significant number.

And although Billy Madison was a funny movie, I don't think anyone quoting it for a signature should be telling me to grow up.

Everyone knows that the very FEW high dollar lawsuits will have a negligible impact on our health care costs.

What about reducing HUGE costs, by getting low cost drugs from Canada? How about lowering medicare premiums (now with record increases)?

When discussing health care, all Bush could do is attack Kerry's plan.

Someone tell me what Bush has planned to lower health care costs?

Remember the Kerry was dynamically opposed to anything that Bush stood for.

Rarely did he every lay out anything but lip service to how he would do something.
He was always stating that he would do this and this and this and that. Never, did he ever lay out an actual blueprint on how he would do it.

I never saw/heard an actual plan from Kerry. If I am wrong, please point to it.

Ah well... they'll have four more years to think about that strategy.

 What an idiot.

Didn't turn people away from Bush, did it?

sad, but probably true. This election has taught me one thing. The USA is a Christian country for Christian people. All others are just a weak minority.

This is NOT a Christian country, and as an agnostic I will fight Christian majoritarianism as long as I live. My God is not the Christian God and it is sure as hell not the Old Testament God of the 10 Commandments. I hold to the beattitudes and anyone who stresses the 10 Commandments over the beattitudes really missed the point of Christianity, IMO.
