Isn't it a bad thing if they are pleased. I would think that means you overpaid.

Nah, it just means it's a reasonable offer that they think the buyer will accept. The agent just wants to get the house sold, it doesn't matter to them if the seller is able to squeeze an extra $10k out of it, because that's only an extra $300 for each agent.

Congrats. My wife and I own our home (2nd one) and she's sold probably 30 or so homes in the past few years for clients. The housing market seems to be picking up here actually after a good 6 month lull. She has 3 deals in escrow right now.
