fixed and QFT. that place is for nancy boys.

It does have a convenience factor, there are almost 200 of the things within 5 miles of me. Personally, I just get regular drip coffee so it isn't that much.

Someone let me know when the hating on Starbuck's bandwagon finally grinds to a halt.
ooh yeah, i got such a hate on right now i am going to snap.

brb, going to bomb a starbucks.

You will be so confused by the menu that you'll never be able to hit the detonator.

Unless you missed the trend, writing vitriolic messages/opinions against Starbucks has been all the rage for a while.

I actually prefer 7-11 or Royal Farms coffee more than starbucks. I just think it tastes better, plus they have the liquid flavored creamers that I love.

I like the Ice Coffee that Starbucks offers but if there was a Dunkin Donuts near me, I would prefer DD's Ice Coffee.

I agreed with the stupid name they used.

I rarely go to Starbucks. But CEO Howard Schultz was on Charlie Rose recently, and unless he was lying through his teeth, they don't seem so bad.

Dunkin Donuts uses the normal size naming/conventions AND has better coffee then Starbucks AND you don't need to take out a second mortgage to buy a cup, just go there?

Yuck, DD coffee is terrible. I also hate that they add sugar/milk for you. I like to do it myself, jerks. I don't know why people around here love it so much. 7-11 has the best cheap coffee, IMO.

you to seem to be poking fun at people who order fancy drinks. i don't see the big deal. some people would rather enjoy a complex drink than something simple as drip-brewed. not exactly the finest coffee brewing method.

i would order fancy drinks, but never from Starbucks, because face it.. if I go to starbucks I know I am not getting authentic Italian-style espresso drinks. so why order something that begs to be made only in the utmost perfection?

i like going to specialty coffee houses, but I rarely get anything remotely fancy. I usually test their waters with a cappuccino, to see how they make them. not one place I went to in Toledo seemed to ever prepare a cappuccino properly: 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, 1/3 frothed milk.
is it really that hard? and don't burn the beans, please! Espresso is not its own roast-level of blackness, but rather the care in the blend and a medium-to-dark roast. Full City is a good balanced roast, maybe a level past that, but I don't like glossy beans.. means the oil is escaping, and is being oxidized and thus is not reaching my cup like it should be.

sry, ranted a bit myself there.

You don't like "Like It", "Love It", or "Gotta Have It"??

I use conventional sizing at both places. It's just my way of sticking it to the man.
