Just put (NSFW for language) on the link.

I meant I'm at work and it would probably be blocked for me.

1. I use normal names because I just look at the price and ignore the names. I don't enough to get pissed about it. It's a trivality.
2. If they correct me they have 0% chance of a tip.
3. I usually go to a locally owned place that has small and large espresso drinks.
[coffee snob]4. I just got a french press and therefore make better coffee than most espresso shops.
5. *takes a sip of his perfectly made chocolate roast coffee*[/coffee snob]

fixed and QFT. that place is for nancy boys.

Way to cut off your nose to spite your face. Boycotting Starbuck's only hurts yourself. If you're a true coffee lover, you're just missing out on excellent coffee. Everywhere else just sells coffee-flavored water. Blech.

Do people who boycott Starbuck's and talk about it = people who don't watch TV and talk about it?

I agree. I always order a large or a medium. Never a small. I only say "short" (which is no longer on the menu) to denote that I want a short cappucino.

I agree I hate the stupid names. It is small, medium, and large. Honestly it is one of the reasons I completely avoid Starbucks.

It does have a convenience factor, there are almost 200 of the things within 5 miles of me. Personally, I just get regular drip coffee so it isn't that much.

Someone let me know when the hating on Starbuck's bandwagon finally grinds to a halt.
ooh yeah, i got such a hate on right now i am going to snap.

brb, going to bomb a starbucks.
If you do that where are all the Green Haired Anarchists going to work now that Tower Records is closing down?

Hate to break it to you, but the "small, medium, large" names have been terminated.

Actually every other coffee place I have ever seen (including Caribou, another ginormous chain, Dunn Bros, Peet's, and every other coffee place I have been to) uses small, medium, and large.

the thing is that they have a size called "short" which is smaller than the tall. Also, the starbucks "medium" (grande) is about the size of a large coffee at tim hortons here, so i use their size name so they know exactly what size I am talking about and to avoid the conversation about which friggin size I am actually referring to (and it always happens)

Starbucks is not particularly good. Most towns of any size have local places with coffee on par or better than starbucks. The only reason I ever gone to a starbucks is because of location; it's close and I want a coffee buzz immediately. I make much much much better coffee in my french press than I'll ever get Mc'bucks.

 Same here.

I almost never buy coffee at Starbucks though. That stuff will eat a hole in your gut.

The only thing my work coffee would be good for is cleaning my car battery.

No kidding. The coffee here where I work sucks ass.

My wife and I were in Palm Springs a couple months ago and we went to a place called the Coffee Beanery. It was about 1/2 mile farther away but there was nobody in there. It was great, excellent coffee and no lines. I hope they do well.

I think they still use short for kids sizes, been a while since I paid any attention to the menu.

And outside of the US you can get a short.

You poor people. We have something similar to this.

The coffee is quite good actually. I can make 1 cup of coffee, any flavor I want, in a matter of seconds.

Ask for cup sizes in liters. You'll probably get some grand response like, "Coffee can't be measured in liters, it only comes in ounces."

I also love places that start with medium, then go to large and extra large. Medium implies a midpoint, no? Without sizes on either side, a medium is not in fact a medium, but a small. Don't you just love marketing?
