worst movie evah!
well close atleast. i watched chicago again first and then dare devil as a double feature.
i guess seeing a good movie first makes it look that much worse. i started to not like it just a few minutes in. the fight scenes were rediculous. they didn't suspend my belief. spiderman made be believe tobey could do all that sh*t. this movie made me think wtf, these fx are horrible, he can't possibly do that just because he's blind and has some extra sensory power, he's got balance, not super strength, good lord. not to mention the action is cut without any real direction, just a scatter shot method that doesn't give you a good perspective of the whole fight.
to make a super hero believable you have to demonstrate why his abilities are superior. most of the time when we see through daredevils eyes what we see is inferior vision. no fear? i'd be scared as hell with half baked vision that went in and out like that. some of the moves he pulled work in a movie like blade 2, but not here. plus they were shot so much worse.
the dialog? cheesy as hell like the rest of the movie. i wanted to groan... did george lucas write this script? ack!
the music? it didn't match, it was disconnected with what was going on screen, like a bad music video. a good example of how to get it right with pop music is blade 2.
jennifer garner? yes the only redeeming character. you care for her a tiny smidgen, but thats not much really, but compared to the rest, its a lot. atleast she somewhat looked cool fighting, her abilities were'nt totally unbelievable.
the cg? bad. the rose in slow motion? it looked like rubber. cg + slow motion gives you a lot of time to see flaws. shouldn't do it unless they really have it together.
the rest of the movie seemed like moments stolen from other superior movies slapped together.
ugh horrible.
