This one had pieces of pretty much every single sci-fi movie ever made in it, 2001, Moon, Planet of the Apes, Matrix, etc. Not a terrible thing, it just felt pretty predictable and kind of boring.

Pieces yes, but the way the all fit together was new, at least for me.
I mean, sure I can name half a dozen movies with a vaguely similar premise. But to me that makes Oblivion incredibly unique and special, because for most movies I can name dozens of examples with 100% identical plots and hundreds of examples with similar plot, sometimes thousands.
It's said there are only 7 different basic plots, there are limits to what you can do. I though Oblivion's take was unique, even if you can see where individual pieces were taken from.
I've seen none of the movies you listed, although I tried to watch Melancholia once and turned it off after the first 10 minutes where it seemed nothing happened at all. I might attempt to watch it again sometime, but did feel like one of those predictable movies- everyone is talking about how the other planet is going to hit earth, so it's like you already know how the movie will end in the first few minutes.
