My next door neighbor had complained he was missing two of his chickens and a cat recently... I believe I took care of the problem this morning. Actually there were two, but I took out the closer one...

Yes, it depends on the time of year. Right now, they have beautiful coats if they're healthy. A friend of mine offered to tan the hide for me (he's a trapper).

Analog was also following his natural instinct. It was to kill and eat the meat, then mold the hide into a new piece of underwear or socks.

I used a Ruger bolt action 7.62x39mm with a Nikon 3x9-40mm scope. It was a shot at the base of the neck entry/exit. The coyote dropped immediately, no movement.

I would be more impressed if he made the kill with his bare hands. Shooting a animal from 50+ yards away is so pussy. The coyote didn't get any advantage like that.

We didn't get to the top of the food chain with our bare hands. We learned to build tools to do the bidding for us.
