I shot the neighborhood K9 this morning... Cautionary PIC inside.

Stop telling me to shut up, the argument that "It's easier to kill the animals than to deal with them humanly" is ignorant and moronic. Try again next time.

A single shot kill is the most humane way of killing something (aside from lethal injection). Next.

who walks around picking up mice? kill it first, those things are a pain to catch.

also, neckbeard's experiences are contained within his mom's basement, so his entire view of the outdoors is what he's seen online.

also, british people have bad teeth.

1) My Mum has no basement.
2) British != English
3) My teeth are fine.

im now convinced neckbeard is absolutely incapable of thinking outside of his own little pathetic world view in any way whatsoever.

Not killing something, is more humane than killing something. Next.

except for when deer run wild with un-checked overpopulation.

oh, and also killing something that would otherwise die a slow, agonizing, inevitable death. that is certainly more humane.

I don't think you understand the meaning of that word, much like adairusmc doesn't understand the meaning of "invasive," ....as well as "empathy."

mice are so disgusting. for almost a year my building in sf had mice, i had 50 glue traps at any one time in my condo but they still kept coming in through the heating. they were so well fed that they didnt even go for the traps a lot of the time. they finally got rid of them a few months ago (probably some slob with a messy place) but it was totally disgusting, they crap and piss all over the place.

:'( They didn't kill them did they?

They should be trapped in paper bags, and released into the wild

It's obvious that neckarb has never been on the killing floor of a meat packing house.

That's anything but a humane way to kill animals...yet if you eat meat sold in the nice cellophane wrapped packages in the grocery store...you're supporting that practice.

I'm a meat eater, and while I'd prefer that the animals were killed quickly and as painlessly as possible, I know that it's not always the way it happens.
Hell, even when hunting deer and elk, sometimes a shot goes a bit awry and doesn't kill the animal instantly. I hate having to track a wounded animal...sometimes for hours...it's a PITA, but it's the right thing to do.
I've hunted with guys who thought it was ok to let them go off to die. They usually ended up being banished from our hunting camp...and one of us had to track the animal and take care of it properly.

No 7.62? C'mon

there was also a .22, but everyone has shot one of those...

there was another rifle, not sure what it was, but we were on a private hunting cabin, where they lease about 2000 acres from a tree farm and hunt around there in order to keep the deer down so the trees stay healthy...

this is also the same spot my moms uncle was driving to the cabin, saw a turkey outside his truck, picked up his gun from his passenger seat, and shot...

forgot to roll down the window though.

Oh hey! That reminds me, any of yall been Nutria hunting? I don't take into hunting myself but I wouldn't mind putting down a good bag of those bastards. Last I heard was that Louisiana was still offering bounties on tails.

EDIT: Just checked the Louisiana wildlife page. They paid $5 a tail last year for almost half a billion tails. Heh, 42% of the participants turned in over 800 tails.

I approve of this thread. I lost a lot of my flock to a bobcat and some raccoons. The raccoons were easy trap and kills, while the bobcat is still out there. I was hoping it would move on, but I still see its tracks in the snow from time to time.

My Dad worked in New Orleans in 1984 while my Mom and I still lived back in IL. He would come back with stories about "nutria" being these giant dog sized rat things that crawed out of the sewers. I thought he was telling stories to scare me...I was 5 at the time.

It wasn't until I was in my 20's and saw the "Insomniac" episode on Comedy Central when Dave was down in New Orleans and he went out with the police and they shot nutria from a boat down the sewer runoffs that I actually beleived my Dad was telling the truth.

Well, here is a picture of a bobcat and his coyote friends that look like they were easy kills, if it makes you feel better.

Not my photo though, found it on a hunting site of a predator hunt in 2009 somewhere. :awe:

Coyote mauled a customer's miniature something dog. Crushed it's jaw and left it for dead. It had to be put down.

What would the peta people do? What would they do?
