we know...

here is why you are a troll...

yes, you have a difference of opinion. yet you try to shove your opinion as the best and only answer down our throats, and then bitch when we don't accept it. you are a troll by all definitions.

Hmm interesting but I would argue. that I argue for my point using logic. I don't just say I'm right without any explanation. America has a tendency to be the biggest troll of the planet if you think about it, going to different countries imposing their morals...

and another example of trolling

you take something that you have comments on and then add something that you KNOW will make people riled (sp?) up and wanting to post back at you. It's called trolling.

so through all that piney squirrels somehow find you and profit.

fuck, owned by squrriels will be in you obit I thinks.

I guess we are owned by squirrels then. Until I shoot the little bastards. I take it you have never had a piney get into your house or car and chew through wires?

They love to chew wiring in the attics of houses, get zapped and start fires. If there is no opening in the attic, they will gnaw one.
If there are native Squirrels in the area like the Fox and Black Squirrels(Grey's and Blacks are the same critter, justa different coat phase) the Pine Squirrels will get all militant and run them out by force.

Well I will grant you that I do post my opinion in the hope that I can discuss it... But that's just the way to have a discussion with someone.

Yes it's cheaper.

No that doesn't make it the moral choice.

Most of us feel that this isn't a problem as far as morals are concerned. Shooting the coyote was ethical.

Killing things is never ethical unless it was in self defence, It bothers me that people seem to think killing things is fine.

Killing things IS fine...and it doesn't have to be in self defense.
I like to eat. Animals are food, and they're good.

I live in town now, so I don't have any predators to worry about, but we do get mice and rats on the yard/garden from time to time. You can bet your ass that if they're eating my tomatoes, I'm gonna set traps to kill them.

That's going in my sig.

Neckarb's sig:
Killing things IS fine

That's awfully selective and also fails to discredit what BoomerD said.

Good. I'm glad you finally came around.
See?

It is selective, but I thought it summed up his point he thinks killing is fine, he then added "it doesn't need to be in self defence"

He thinks killing is fine.

I was done with talking to him at that point no need to discredit it, you can see the absurdity from that statement.

There are other options other than killing. IT's been gone into before in the thread.

There are other options besides eating meat (which requires an animal to be killed) which you admit you do. You claim others are doing something unethical or lack morals because they chose to take the easier way out by shooting a coyote. Yet you take the easy way out by eating meat, but then claim some sort of moral superiority.

If I ever shoot a coyote on my own land (sorry, I don't have a gun... or my own land for that matter) it will be "in self defense"... I'm "defending" the several hundred dollars I would have had to spend on a fence... same as if it mauled me and cost me however many hundreds or thousands of dollars in hospital bills. The threat doesn't have to be lethal to be something to defend against. They are pests and they carry the threats that pests carry be they disease, property damage, financial, or bodily harm. Period.

FWIW, I had a cat disappear last summer that I can only attribute to a coyote. He did not go more than a matter of yards away from home and the complexes were all separated by fences. The coyote would have had to come off of the street, through the parking lot, and down the sidewalks. Balsy. I would kill any coyote that gets that close to humans due to the direct danger it represents.

That's 10.8 kills per hour in a 12-hour day.

Even 1 kill per hour is not really believable.

Just when does that cat take a cat nap?!

500million tails? $5 each? That means the state paid $2,500,000,000.00 ($2.5Billion)! That's a pretty big budget.

It was probably $500 million paid for the total of all tails and someone screwed up the statistic.

don't mix proper use of guns with some redneck looking to kill every animal on his block in suburbia with his ar15.

I do not. I despise these "redneck" people. But redneck is to much. Because there are people of every ethnic background who love to fire guns. To claim rednecks only is a blatant lie.

I can understand that a serious threat (rabies coyote or fox for example) should be shot by someone experienced and who can properly handle a rifle by delivering one clean shot through the brainstem shutting down the brain immediately. For example Rabies has no cure anyway and is almost always deadly and spreads when bitten. When just being hungry, it depends on the size of the population of the animal. If the population is small, give the animal some left over food( but far away in the woods, not near your house or neighborhood). If the species population is large, shoot the animal if it imposes a real danger.

I think it may be useful to use neckderp's posts as conclusive proof that there needs to be an intelligence test to vote.

I take it like those that are debating one shouldn't have to fence chickens...that you are probably the only one in your neighborhood with the chronic problem.

Do you and the missus pull night shifts on who's on point?

I claim no moral superiority, at no point have I said that I am perfect and by proxy animals have died so I can eat, what I am saying is that I have never and would never directly be responsible for the death of an innocent and then parade around on a forum with pictures of me standing over it's corpse like I'm proud.

going in my sig.

Glad you came around.

This thread sure got pants on head retarded.

FFS, it's just a wild animal. I guess it's just from growing up in a rural area, but if you have an animal that's a nuisance, you just shoot it. It's not a big deal at all. Feral cat attacking some of your own domestic cats, for example, shoot it. Or a coyote attacking livestock, shoot it, problem solved. I mean shit it's not like they're endangered species, sometimes the department of wildlife will even encourage hunting of species like this because their population has been unchecked and a quick death from a rifle is actually more humane that starvation and other "natural" means of population control.
